No pal, Cancelo was signed as a RB to challenge Walker. Because Mendy was banged up left us short and he and Zinchenko have mostly deputised as a LB between them. It's a position we need to sign a specialist LB in and I'm hoping se sign Cucurella.

Zinchenko would strengthen you in 2/3 positions but given the chance would he want to give up winning trophies each season as a squad player or sign for Everton (or any other PL club) as a guaranteed starter watching us winning trophies? Bear in mind he's in the CL again next season, and he's settled and happy at City. Most of us really appreciate having a top quality player like him who never complains. I'd be gutted to lose him tbh.

I think he'd sacrifice that for regular game time, obviously he wouldnt need to move home & his mate plays for us also

Play ever week. Play in his best position. Play with Mykolenko. Doesn’t have to uproot his family. Basically the same reasons any player has moved from United or City to us in the last 15 years.

Not to mention he gets a shot at midfield. He’s not breaking into City’s midfield

I don't think he will because Wolves offered him regular game time two years ago, and although Guardiola was happy enough to sell him at the time, Zinchenko pleaded with Pep to stay and fight for a place. I don't think Pep will be happy to let him go right now because hes much improved since then. And is still only 25 with 2 years still on his contract. I think Everton signing him is wishful thinking tbh because he's happy and winning trophies. (Like i said)

He would be a midfielder, a starting midfielder....becasue he is a midfielder.....that can COVER full back if needed.

I mean, in his club career of 193 appearances, only 23 have been in centre midfield.
