I'm guessing getting shut of players out of contract to free up squad numbers is the order of the day/s - the next 14 of em.
It appears a deal for Tarkowski is wrapped up, which suggests we'll be losing a CB (mina or Keane or both)
Doucoure needs to be our least mobile least effective midfielder. Not our strongest.
If we are going 451 and for sake of argument lose no one (we want to keep) then theres only two spots in the eleven to buy for. Both center mids, one more defensive minded great positional and great tackler. Think Gareth Barry with an extra yard of pace. Rare.

The deals done. It's been agreed and medical passed. They are just holding off releasing a statement until his contract formally expires apparently.

Maybe he's concerned it could go like M.Fernandes did. One deal at a time, wrapped up and safe.
For CM signings, maybe the target/s aren't out of contract and so theres more rules to follow about permission from clubs, agents meetings etc.

It really feels to me that the problem with both our DOFs was more the level of ability to do what they wanted that was granted and not so much that they were utterly terrible at it.
