By that do you mean everton? We haven't been 'mighty' im terms of our positions for a long time, certainly not in my lifetime. So it hardly that we have fallen in the last 3 years. How the mighty have fallen.
Still we had a dislike of Martinez and thought Moyes needed to move on because he couldn't get over the hump. And now we are ok with Carlo going 12th and 10th. We've still gone down a level. It's sad.By that do you mean everton? We haven't been 'mighty' im terms of our positions for a long time, certainly not in my lifetime. So it hardly that we have fallen in the last 3 years.
Didnt our midfield setup consist of davies and Gomes? so yeah that's deranged to assert our midfield didn't substantially improve. You can state it doesn't match your lofty standards for a perpetually mediocre team. But it was an improvement just demonstrating how dire the squad building under Moshiri has beenI don't think our midfield is better than it was at the end of 2020. And even if it is the outlay to get only a small bit better is horrendous.
Pickford is an average keeper. I'll die on that hill.
I mean I just disagree. We lose the midfield battle every week. Except that's not how the "transfer window" works. It's a registration window. You can sign players at any point in the year as much as you would like. The "window" you are referring to is registration. I mean, we have plenty of time. It's not like preseason training starts in a couple weeks or so.I love how the majority of the first 224,000 pages of this thread were dedicated to establishing we can’t sign anyone until we sell and STILL we’ve got the “dO SoMetHiNg EvERtoN!” cryarses out after the window has been open for A WEEK.
Oh come on, that first half season when we ended 12th, he took over when we were closer to the bottom 3, both points and position wise than we were when allardyce supposedly saved us. He then ended up with more points than allardyce got.Still we had a dislike of Martinez and thought Moyes needed to move on because he couldn't get over the hump. And now we are ok with Carlo going 12th and 10th. We've still gone down a level. It's sad.

He then improved the points total and position total with largely the same squad, especially defense wise, while managing an injury crisis.
So yes, I am OK with that. Moyes hit his ceiling but did an excellent job for us. Martinez lucked out with moyes defense in his first season which then repidly deteriorated due to age and poor tactical nous. Of said defense, we still have one of starting regularly.
We need to give lampard 3/4 years to build something, like we gave moyes. Carlo would have been given time but I don't begrudge him going to the best team I the world and winning another league title and champions league.
Point expertly dodged. It’s all immaterial when we can’t pay for anyone until we’ve sold players. The most likely to leave is Richarlison and we’ve not heard of anything more than rumoured interest so far.Except that's not how the "transfer window" works. It's a registration window. He drank kopite tears while chuckling to himself. That's enough for me.Carlo needs to send us some shiny new loan toys before a stop begrudging him for breaking my little heart.

Agree with this, seems like an absolute no brainer to me.I'll say this weekly: I have no idea why we haven't gone for Knight at Derby. Even if he's a backup (who is already better than most of our starters), you just know he could be gotten for buttons with Derby's precarious position.
Yeah sam did finish higher, with less points, which to me indicates that the standard of teams in the league was lower that season. Is the standard better than Allardyce?
Also points are relative. Second place has had more points than Leicester won the title with but Leicester don't give it back. Sam finished higher for us than Carlo ever did.
Does somebody get paid to write this stuff ?Winks, innit
Point are only really relevant in the season which they are won.Is the standard better than Allardyce?
