We got £50m+ value for Richy, I suspect so far with the way our deals have been done that we’ve spent a lot less than that. Keep in mind for every sale we get, we get the full value of it regardless of when the instalments are paid and with every purchase we make we only have to worry about the instalments.

With McNeil, Onana, Gana and Coady I’d suspect we’ve actually only paid £30m/£35m roughly. There’s still money there to be spent if we can structure deals properly.
It's a bit simplistic but by all accounts we had to sell Richarlison to reduce our losses. If we're spending such a large amount this season then we'll need another major sale to rebalance at the end of the season. Moreover, we'll be paying this large amount every year for the next 2/3/4 years. That means we'll need to get a lot better at selling or increasing revenue.

Again, I realize that there are a lot of moving parts eg Dele, contracts expiring but I'm surprised if we can fund all that.

Reckon the Alwaysblue lad on Twitter was more sauced than Bailey for McNeil.

We didnt though. We sold Richy July 1st. Last years accounts ended June 30th. Just because somebody posted on twitter from their grandamas basement doesnt mean for some reason actual rules and basic accounting go out the window.

Theres less than 0 reason to believe the crazy notion that we sold Richy to meet some kind of made up pretend financial guideline. Richy was sold because he was going, and we are using the funds from that as well as what we can NOW spend beyond that, since 19/20 is now off the 3 year roll.

Yeah I think, especially if we spend any more, a big sale this financial year is priced in now to compensate for all the business, although that's a bit of a risk that our valuable players retain their value- the plan would probably be to sell DCL but that can't be relied on. It actually wouldn't surprise me if we already had tentative discussions with Spurs for Pickford to go next summer, Lloris can't go on forever and we could use the certainty that money will come in at the end of the season.

Mate we dont know when the Richarlison deal went through.

There were numerous things saying that we had to sell before the 1st July deadline, I didnt believe them myself, but we then rushed a deal through on 30th June, which makes me think there was something in it.

I'd agree with that but we should take any tentative discussions with Spurs and torpedo them into the Atlantic ocean. I'd do business with any club bar them.

See what the Bobble says on the forward. He mentioned Terrier a few weeks back but said the price was too much for us maybe we are examining the rest of the list now with the names mentioned today? French clubs seem more open to structured deals we want to do

Be made up with that. I would like a CF before we play Villa tho we really need one. I think if Dom was playing yesterday we would have beat Chelsea.

Whilst I agree we need someone up top we need to be patient and ensure the player coming in is what we actually need.

Easy to forget Chelsea had Thiago Silva and Big Kouliabaly at CB who are two of the greatest CB's of our time.

We **should** get more opportunity against Villa who'll also come at us we just need to take our chances.

Dele for me should start with Gordon and McNeil out wide.

We literally do. You had the same fear mongering sources that make up everything, but for some weird reason some of you continue to believe even when proven false 1000 times. Find me one source confirming it happened before July, because there are hundreds, including all of the reliable ones saying it didnt.
