---------------------------Pickford (Begovic)--------------------

Patterson (Coleman)------Tarkowski (Holgate)-----Coady (Mina)-----Mykolenko (Vinagre)

------------------Gueye (Doucoure)--------------Iwobi (Allan)-----------

Gray (Townsend)----------------Onana (Alli)-----------------McNeil (Iwobi/ Gray)

------------------------------DCL (Rondon)---------------------------

even without the the 50 mil from Gordon that team could do bits at full strength

Can look at the loan market for a backup striker to DCL for injuries

Can look for a cheap winger like Adama Traore for 10 mil if desperate

If Alli leaves can look at maybe MGW from Wolves

Can also maybe think about getting in long term replacements for Doucoure and Allan in the form of Gallagher and Gilmore

No. That team would struggle to stay up. So much work needed still on the midfield and forward positions. Defence is stronger this year.

Maupay is a snide even if he doesn't score much he is a nuisance again if it's him and another forward he is useful
How many strikers are prolific these days? They seem a dying breed. The majority are focal points who lead the line well, chip in with a few and bring others in to play. Goals these days do seem to be spread more around the team. I thought Marcus Bent was fantastic in our top 4 year and he didn’t even hit double figures. I was also a huge fan of Paul Rideout. 111 games and 29 goals looks a poor return, but i remember him fondly and thought he led the line superbly in his time here.

Problem for us though, is we don’t seem to have goals anywhere else in the team. All well and good having a hard working nuisance of a striker who isn’t prolific, but if you don’t have your midfielders and wingers chipping in then you’ve got problems. Onana on Saturday looked as though he has the potential to break in the box and score a few but time will tell there. We need to add a goal scoring wide man ideally.

This summer was never about bringing in 2-3 top level £50+ million signings - it was about bringing in 10+ players as our bench consists of a bunch of crocks and kids.

No issue with either or both Adams and Maupay coming in.

Once we stabilise as a club and have competition for places then in future windows when our accounts are healthier we can start introducing big name signings for large fees.

Fans need to be realistic there are no Luis Diaz's or De Jongs coming here this season when we've just finished 16th.
