For me we still lack a talisman - someone who wills things to happen & gets bums off seats. Onana might end up being that player but on recent evidence it's probably still a bit too soon for him. That's why I was quite excited about Kudus.. but it doesn't look like that's happening now ?‍♂️

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays round up. With no wins on the board and no new players in since Conor Coady, meltdown is well and truly upon us. The general consensus seems to be (and rightly so) that the club need to get the finger out and decide if Gordon is staying/going and get a few forwards in….. sooner rather than later……
Hang in there!

Everton have ramped up the race for Cody Gakpo after Frank Lampard dispatched a scout to watch the PSV Eindhoven star in action..

Everton could win the race for Blackburn Rovers’ Ben Brereton Diaz this summer as they could offer the player the best wages and package to get the deal done (This is Futbol via Joe Tomlinson/Sky Sports

Nottingham Forest want Josh Bowler and are launching a new £2.5million bid to try and sign the Blackpool winger ahead of Fulham (Nottingham Forest News via Alan Nixon - (included as I think we have a sell on fee)

The Independent report that Anthony Gordon still a long way from the finisher Chelsea need him to be as a £50m target.

If the price is £45 million, means Everton have made over £11m a goal. If it goes up to £50m, it is £12.5m per strike. Buying virtually any 21-year-old for a hefty fee involves paying for potential but, should he join Chelsea, Anthony Gordon may represent an extreme case.

And

Danny Murphy believes Anthony Gordon would be better staying at Everton, despite £45m interest from Chelsea in signing him this summer. Former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Murphy told the 21-year-old he would be better off staying at Goodison Park for his development.

And

Football.london understands that among other targets, Spurs are continuing to monitor the situation with Everton's Anthony Gordon, although Chelsea currently look to be leading the race for the 21-year-old following their recently reported rejected £45 million bid.

Leeds United are reportedly still in the mix to sign Chelsea prospect Armando Broja, with the Albanian international still likely to depart Stamford Bridge this summer with Everton also interested in the youngster.

According to CBS Journalist Ben Jacobs via GiveMeSport, there is a chance that the Slough-born wonderkid could leave west London….the reporter saying: “Everton are also circling around Broja and Leeds United I think will be in the mix as well.”

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is being viewed as a potential Besiktas Plan B if their pursuit of Dele Alli falls flat, according to reports. Kamara was left out of Rangers' 2-2 draw with Hibs on Saturday with rumours swirling that Ligue 1 club Nice were preparing a bid. Reports from Fotospor over in Turkey claim 'a surprise move from Besiktas' as their attempts to sign England international Alli slow down.

Also

Besiktas have reached an agreement with the Toffees over taking Alli to Turkey on a temporary basis, without a loan fee, but a deal is yet to be sealed.

According to Turkish magazine Fanatik, Alli is currently sorting out some paperwork issues with Everton which are delaying him from securing a move to Besiktas.

Everton have been linked with a move for Michy Batshuayi, and now a new update has emerged from a reliable source on the club’s pursuit of the player in the remaining days of the transfer window. According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, Everton could ramp up their interest in Chelsea striker Batshuayi.

Crook told GIVEMESPORT “Batshuayi has been mentioned to me with Everton as well. So, I wonder if the fact it’s gone quiet at Wolves maybe means that Frank Lampard is trying to step up the interest there.”

Newcastle United and Leeds United have been linked with an unlikely move for Everton forward Moise Kean. The Italy international has endured an underwhelming spell on Merseyside and is currently midway through a two-year loan with Serie A giants Juventus.(Newcastle world online)

Everton have reportedly scheduled fresh transfer talks at the start of this week with Paris St Germain for midfielder Idrissa Gueye. According to RTL Foot journalist Abdellah Boulma, the two clubs will meet to discuss the move for the 32-year-old before the window shuts. He claimed earlier that fresh talks had been envisaged and the deal has not yet broken down with another round of conversations set to take place in the coming days.

CalcioMercato report that Wolves have made an offer to sign free agent Andrea Belotti but the striker has rejected the chance to move to Molineux, amid reports that he has also been offered to Everton, Newcastle and West Ham.

Belotti, 28, is a free agent after leaving Torino. It comes after becoming a club legend with the Serie A side, scoring 113 goals in 251 games. He is yet to find a new club, missing out on a pre-season after his deal ended on June 30.

Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder insists he knows nothing about speculation suggesting £8 million Eredivisie champion Mohammed Kudus is on his way to the Premier League with Everton, speaking to Voetbal International.

“I think he should not leave,” the coach adds. “You can see that he is important. We need a lot of good players.”

Everton have been cited as one of several clubs interested in acquiring the services of Valencia striker Maxi Gomez, before the transfer window closes. That's according to German Sky Sports presenter Florian Plettenberg who says the Uruguayan international wants to leave the Mestalla this summer.

Italian scribe Rudy Galetti claims that the Blues have a ‘growing interest’ in signing Rennes forward Serhou Guirassy. It is not the first time the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Goodison Park, but as the need to get a goalscorer into Finch Farm intensifies, Guirassy remains available.

European Sky Sports presenter Geletti Tweeted: “Everton are still looking for a new striker and in these last days there is growing interest in Serhou #Guirassy. A new contacts yesterday with #StadeRennais for the forward: the club could make an offer already in the next few hours. #EFC #Transfers.

Everton are reportedly interested in bringing young Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx to Goodison this summer. But the Blues face competition from AC Milan, who could make the 19-year-old the fourth Belgian player in the their squad.

That's according to a report from German outlet Voetbalkrant. The midfielder is said to be worth around 10 millions Euros and is also subject to interest from serial-spenders Nottingham Forest and French club Lille.
