If we sold DCL for £50 m I think we'd struggle to replace him without spending all of that and a bit more.
However at £80m it becomes a deal that would be hard to refuse.
Why would they agree to sell at a low figure? And why would the players agent agree to a clubs “gentleman’s agreement?”He plays for PSV mate. Yes, the same PSV where Brands used to work. Was a gentlemen's agreement before the Euros too much to ask for?
We become Libpewl fubball klub.....oh hang on lolI dont see how we sell at £80mil.
I dreamt about gashGenuinely woke up this morning having had a dream we signed Coutinho on loan and he was gash.
He spent over £150m in 3 seasons at newcastle as a championship and then newly promoted club. He had money to spend. Its a myth he didn't.No need it’s been done a million times already
hence the post… “Balance”
when the man has money, he has gotten real quality through the door
what kind of money was Mike Ashley providing Newcastle vs Moshiri for us?
If the rumours are true for the players / positions Arsenal are looking to fill then it seems like theyre going to be spending £150-200mil.
That would go against what Usmanov was saying when he was a shareholder there...
...he had claimed he wanted to spend big numbers on the very top players...and Kroenke wouldnt spend.
This window, I think Moshiri needs to put his money where his mouth is....
If were not in for White, we should be...if we arent doing the Aarons deal, we should be.
Id go as far as to say this is a make or break window with the managerial appointment and also Ancelotti had alluded to us breaking FFP a couple of months ago.
Moshiri talks about competing at the top and yet our transfer record is £45mil Sigurdsson...our creative winger is £28mil Alex Iwobi.
Spend.

I’m sorry, but we’re in a competitive market here.
I realise loans carry fees and have to be accounted for, but I absolutely think it has to be central to our transfer strategy. That is why I don’t completely dismiss the rumors about Rondon (loan), Coutinho (loan) and Romero (free). Certainly not advocating for any of them, but it covers three needs (2 of which are squad players, not starting XI) in a reasonable financial measure allowing us to spend on a wide player, a center mid, a right back and possibly a center half.
Those likely won’t happen, but in a certain light they aren’t crazy either.
6 or 7 in sounds wild, but if we can get some folks sold it is what is needed.
Yeah probably…that is based on the assumption that he would play well.
Same thing
Yes...i know... I've had nightmareHe plays for PSV mate. Yes, the same PSV where Brands used to work. Was a gentlemen's agreement before the Euros too much to ask for?
Good tournament performances inflate prices and reputations
Saw Dumfries being touted for us and then he had a good tourney, knew we’d get priced out
Still think James is dining out on his 2014 WC more than anything he ever did for any club
