What does that matter? Surely that highlights the fact he doesn't spend "buttons"? lol

£55 per season is the 3rd highest per season in the league since Moshiri arrived. Just because you think it's a low number doesn't mean we're way down the list. We've spent a lot just unfortunately on a lot of dross.
 
I think we have to revert our transfer process from buying Ben White for £50m to finding DCL for £2m.

I know DCL took a few seasons to get going and it's rare to find a buy that works out but I just don't see us bridging the gap by chucking money at it unless it's obviously HUGE money which we can not do.

Bellingham is NEVER HAPPENING so stop playing FIFA with our squad.

The links that interest me are players who need to take the next step, I am not saying these will be cheap buys but they will have an impact on the team but still not blast through our transfer budget.

Players like Dumfries, Olise and Mater Sarr who have been highlighted as first team quality at their level but need faith in them to push through.

I'd rather spend £50m on 3 player who will strengthen our squad who could be that player for the next 5 years.

it does matter because 2017 is 4 years ago now.

problem is, it doesnt help new managers coming in that they have a load of dross to deal with. which wont neccessairly be replaced.
