After spending £500m on a new squad, yet still needing a new squad, is not the way to run a football clubAfter spending £100m on a midfield, we still need a new midfield. That is not a way to run a football club.

Agree 100% mate, a lot of the big teams now seem to be moving towards spreading goals throughout the team rather than relying on a 20+ goal a season man. It takes the pressure of the striker(s) and also means you have a threat coming from multiple areas rather than just one. But yeah it's easier said than done, our return from midfield has been poor for a long time.We need to bring in goal scoring midfielders the list provided from the other poster had about 2 goals between them if that , we cant rely on both forwards and the odd centre half for goals we need to increase the goals scored from last year by at least 20 if we are going to push on , easier said than done i know
Did you watch us last season?Definitely Right back and Right wing.
I disagree about CM. We have Allan, Doucoure, Gbamin, Gomes, Davies, Baningime, Delph, Onyango
I think a few of our younger players are going to get bigger roles this season.
You could say the same about Gomes , Delph , Davies and perhaps even Gbamin.Do you honestly believe Baningime has any prospects of being an Everton player?
Well at least that gives me some comfort, as I'd have had serious doubts about his ability, if watching us play in the last few years, he's looked at our defence and thought we didn't need a RB or commanding CB.
I'm slightly confused as to why you thought on the 6th July we had depth (and quality?) at RB but now you think we don't. It's pretty clear to most that we lack both depth and quality at RB.
All it has done has cemented those established clubs as established clubs, getting richer and richer and therefore can spend more and more, while clubs like us struggle to compete because we don't have the same spending power and never will whilst FFP is in play. If we can't compete despite our owner wishing too, what the hell is the point, we may as well fold.
You might want to check that one with Celtic. To be honest I'm all for giving our youth prospects a chance and my way of thinking was Coleman is our captain so will be playing quite regularly, Kenny had a fairly successful run with Celtic last season, them two alternating with someone younger proving depth such as Markelo. I thought would see us through.
However if we can add someone better, then why not.

Can you recall the last midfielder that actually got into double figures not including pens? or even close to itAgree 100% mate, a lot of the big teams now seem to be moving towards spreading goals throughout the team rather than relying on a 20+ goal a season man. Has Onyango's ankle been reattached yet?Definitely Right back and Right wing.

Red Echo says we are skint yet we try sign Koula Koula.
Dumfries and Koulibaly - POWER
One of our managers is a Celtic fan said we gave them a pub player worst full back he's seen in a long time , told him to keep him we dont want him backYou might want to check that one with Celtic.

One injury to dacoure or Allan and we offered nothing in midfield, why do you think we would be any different this year?
If anything we need to improve on those two, not go with what we’ve got. We have zero distribution from our cm, Allan on his day likes to spray a few passes but not enough to hit our forwards who are already feeding off scraps
no amount of coaching is going to get a different tune out of most of that listDifferent coaching methods.
When Rafael took over Newcastle he changed the way they trained, he helped cut injuries down by 50%. Since Bruce took over, injuries have doubled that of Rafas tenure.
