Matter of time before Andy Carroll is linked as DCL’s replacement."yesterdays coach buys yesterday players" - shock headline!
I think McNeil has a fantastic left foot and has 5 and 6 assists in his last two seasons for Burnley.
The only player i think who is comparable for us is Digne.
My thinking would be that if you had Digne and McNeil on the left side then thats potentially alot of assists coming from that side of the pitch.
Where teams could block off one of them, they will find it difficult to stop both.
In addition, McNeil also seems good 'tactically' and defensively and seems to follow instructions set out by Dyche -- so would suit a Benitez team.
Finally, i wonder if he may also be able to also rotate with James centrally as he seems to have ability to drift + vision to pick players out.
Im hoping that if he comes in on the left we are still going to move on either Antony or Bailey for the right side. I wouldnt fancy Richarlison on the right.

Might chuck a tenner on.Relegation
It's not about winning the league or making top 4, we want to see the club use their resources well and play some good football. Clubs with less resources regularly outplay us and act smarter in the market. You just need to atone mate. Accept we aint winning the league in an era of Oil Gulf States owning clubs and the farce that is FFP and hope we do enough to sneak a trophy or a European finish.
I've accepted that and life is less stressful as a result of it.
What about Richarlison? This has the makings of:
Pickford
Dumfries Godfrey Lenglet Digne
Townsend Doucoure Allan McNeil
DCL Richie
with a bench of Kean, Gray, Gbamin, Davies, Kean, Coleman and Begovic
Would mean James, Mina, Iwobi, Gylfi, Gomes, Kenny, Bernard all sold.
ins cost about 50m (assuming Lenglet a loan)
outs bring in about 60-70m
wages down considerably
Oh I missed that, CF.What about Richarlison?

Oh my God do it. Never seen Nunes play but I don't care. Swap Gomes for anything.
Nunes mooted again and a possible Gomes swap.
If we do get Mc Neill, why do we sign Gray then ?? assuming Richarlison will still be around and change between left sided role and 2 up top. Also Mc Neill's goalscoring record is not great like Gray like Townsend FFS
He’s not available on a free transfer. His contract expired. He hasn’t got raw pace at thirty either.
I have a feeling it'll be 4-3-3 with a flat CM 3 so James will be off (which we suspected anyway) and Siggy maybe off to MLS? For some reason that just seems like his next destination.Something we didn’t have last year, options off the bench…..
Townsend and Grey both running at tired legs, and back up for Richie and another winger signing. Iwobi will be back up centrally for Hamez.
McNeill from Burnley is a weird one though, Burnleys jewel, so 25 million seems cheap. If he comes in Siggy has gone?
DCL and Kean as back up on top
Doucoure, Allan and GBlammo with Davis as back up
Just that right back, Aaron’s is too dear, Dumfries it is then
Things aren’t that bad, we will finish higher than last season
