Everton Summer transfers 2021

Didn't realise this one was that advanced.

I can understand signing one of Gray and Townsend. I can't understand signing both. It's adding 2 average squad players to an already very average squad. We haven't even got anyone out the door yet.

I mean, we may have in a different way.

He was extremely average from coming back from injury. His performances at the end of the season were not good enough. He needs to be replaced by someone with more energy and more discipline.
The Allan of 2 seasons ago compared to the Allan that we are seeing are just completely different players. I was really looking forward to signing him when we did but having seen him actually play for us now id sell him if any offer came in, been really surprised at how poor he has been.

Have you seen one of our midfielders was arrested ?

Hmmm not sure many will be as quick to write him off as quickly as you are doing.
He’s a very good player and not one we need to dispense of just yet.

Not much of a risk though is he? Even if he played twenty odd games next season got a few goals and assists he would be worth more than 1.5m. It's the move of the three that makes the most sense.
He’s not good enough, he’s a Leicester cast off. We’re signing players not good enough for our rivals. He’s done nothing in years, why are people trying to convince themselves this is a good thing.

Bernard cost nothing, okay he was on high wages but you could have rationalised that signing on the basis worst case scenario we’d be able to sell him and make a profit. Look what happened. The team is lumbered with low attacking output from the flanks for a few seasons.

Walcott, Iwobi, Bernard none of them were good enough - letting them go and replacing them with players who are also not good enough, albeit on lower wages isn’t okay. The risk is that our wide attacking players continue to have low figures for chances created, assists, goal contribution. As long as that’s the case we’re not progressing.

How can anyone enjoy sport when they accept that the object of their fandom will never achieve anything? Why bother? In that case there would be no Leicesters and we should have just let the ESL happen.

The only real way to do it is to compartmentalize them into smaller victories.

We don't even do that though.

Club has actually released a statement now and it's all over the news

Doesn't make any odds mate.

In that statement, a club employee isn't named.

In media coverage, you'll note all comment sections are disabled.

Libel/defamation laws aside, we also need to ensure there's nothing that could contribute to any potential prejudice of any investigation. An example of this.
