Everton Summer transfers 2021

Agreed.

If Moshiri injected £150mil and we signed 4 top players then what punishment would we face?

Wolves got a european punishment so they couldnt have as many players registered for the squad.

We'd be surely better off with a smaller but high quality squad anyway.

Its Everton we would get demoted to League two and only allowed to register under 16's

rondon 3/4 years ago yeh...rondon now as back up? its a maybe at the most
Three or four years ago, Rondon was terrible for Everton.

To his credit, he was horrified by and deeply contrite for it.

Other than the stadium Moshiri has pretty much made a pigs ear of this club, we are now further away from the top or European places than when he came in all whilst spending 1/2 billion quid.......

I think you`ll find that is....... EVERTON THAT!!!!

Now we are on to buying Poundland players who dont improve us....
I get some of what you’re saying mate, but your first word is doing an awful lot of heavy lifting. Not overly enthused with the signings to date, but I’m seeing the dim outlines of a plan being executed. Living in hope!

It's safe to say that no one knows anything.

Gray, Townsend and Begovic all came out of absolutely nowhere.

Everton, for all its faults, doesn't leak out transfer news. It's super tight.

Save yourself a new set of bedsheets, and just wait until the news breaks. It'll save you a lot of emotional hardship

If we want to "challenge for the top positions in the league" as Moshiri says, we still need a:

Right back
Centre back
Right forward
Centre midfielder

We have until the end of August to bring in those 4 starters.

A bloated wage bill, we’ve potentially knocked well over 30mil off the wage bill so far. If you count Bernard and maybe another 5mil if a certain player is sacked.

That’s not counting what has gone on the wages, with the 3 signings and yet manager abs his team, but I’d imagine we’re well on course to knock a hefty chunk off it this summer.

We’ve had a few players leave out of contract, helping ease a huge wage bill. The plan should have been to add players for higher fees/lower wages not bring in tosh ex-PL players on likely moderate wages. This Summer was a good chance for a reset but we seem like we haven’t realised.

We aren't challenging for the top positions in the league in 2022. And if we don't get that through our heads this summer we also won't be in 2023 or 2024. It's a long term climb that we need to take step by step. Or specifically Moshiri needs to get through his head.
