Not 100% certain, but although the trading losses may well be ball park, for the rulez, Covid costs and stadium costs are discounted re FFP or whatever its now called.

Even so, not a great look.

I think the Covid costs are really helping with our accounting, so a fair point.

It's a sorry financial state to be in either way and the Pandemic has not helped us at all and if we really are in that bad a position it is worrying.

Hardly anyone is spending outside the usual suspects except Villa and they sold Grealish for a record fee.

Like I said, mate I am not certain. If the PL look just at the profit and loss, then thats totally different to what the UEFA rules do.

But if I had burned £500m plus on an idea to use a football club to make some coin on a dock development, at this juncture, I would spend enough to keep it in the PL now. Unless I was a hopeless romantic fool who knows his mate will join in.

Unfortunately the damage was done pre-covid for us but covid has exacerbated our issues somewhat.

I agree it is very difficult but I do see it as a route to the Top 4. That's why I say it needs years of progression to get there. If Bailey or Buendia work out and are pinched by City or Untied then great. It will mean we have improved and moved forward and we will have another 200m to spend on the squad and we can continue to develop and improve the squad.

You never build a squad like that though. You get to the Europa then fail in the league and the players leave.

He couldn't have done anything with this squad mate we cant string two passes together and have zero pace.

Give it 12 months and when more of the deadwood are out of contract hopefully we can invest more wisely in better, faster players.
