Same people think we will finish in the top 6. Mad. We are in for a long hard season with the vast amounts of average quality in our squad. I really was hoping we would add 4 quality players which we needed. We are way off the mark.

Agree, but who signs players for the bench!? Surely you improve by signing players for the team and the old team players drop to the bench.

Plus, Townsend will start 30 games, nailed on.

Of these (above) we only really managed to recoup decent money for Lookman and Gueye. 9 of the 16 left for free or retired.

Ive read how Gray is a better signing than Bailey and because weve signed him hes worth £8mil now and we be £20mil+ once we play him for a season.

Gray + Begovic + Townsend = circa £150k a week in wages.

Why not use that one one good player?

So we have one of the best headers of a football.... We sign townsend who was the best cross accuracy of last season. To me it doesn't look a bad move..... Gray has looked great in every game including tonight against man u.
