Yes maybe. Thing is though none of them are allowed to be a box to box seemingly they're all played as holders. Maybe Gbamin could be that one that drives us on or is just told to sit and allow Allan /Doucoure to do it. Looking at the stats last season we badly lack ball carriers. Plus if James goes the creativity falls on Iwobi and Gray in a ten, very very underwhelming. Maybe we are thinking Mcneil would also be an option there if we can get him.

That just keeps us in the same position but spaced out over the next 5 years.
Doesnt really solve anything long term.

When playing together they're just to slow and don't offer enough. Allan is a shadow of the player he was just a season or two ago (it's got nothing to do with the injury) and Doucoure is probably the right sort of player we need but tbh IMO I'm not sure he himself is the right player for the role, his actual ability on the ball is just dreadful at times which for a pro footballer I always find a little odd. We do need an individual who is a bit more forward minded and who looks towards the final 1/3 of the pitch in terms of their passing rather than just sideways or backwards all the time.

The issue is that weve signed Gray when we already have:

Left: Richarlison, Iwobi, Gordon
Centre: Sigurdsson, James, Iwobi

Its bizarre...then to be linked with McNeil ?

Not sure we need to solve anything long term...more about solving issues this window and getting out the deadwood players while investing in youth.

That's because we are not as good as any of the clubs above us.

I think we need a mind-shift here; our benchmark clubs' are 11th to 15th and the sooner we realise this the better for all our supporters.

I don't think we'll be seeing much of Siggurdson or James though, Gordon will probably go out on loan again and Iwobi is useless.
