My hope is, hes a good age range, and has the sort of style Potter might like. I dont think we get near 20m though. If we got 10m that would be a very handy return.

He's not much of a passer, seems to have stalled in terms of progress in the last three years, and seems to average a mistake every couple of games?

We need to be getting rid of our 22/23 year old academy kids when there's any interest at all. Can't believe how often we renew a guy that's not near the first team

Exactly - and this is all doable. Contracts up to the age of 22, make a strategic decision on the player when they are into their penultimate season, shift them on if they don't make the grade. We won't be letting many good ones away.

I always thought he was quite a good passer, reasonably quick, but just not very good in the air. If they play a 3, I've always felt that was where he looked best. Never really liked him much in a 2. Some straw clutching here, as we are quite desperate to bring some cash in!

Iwobi is not effective. And Gordon is being loaned. Also James will go, who knows if Sig will ever be back. So Gray for 1.5m doesn't bother me so much he is 25 has pace and potential can be weapon off the bench .It's Townsend that to me will be deadwood by next year he is bang average.... We need a Mcneil or another creative/foward/wing option to start because I see the list you mentioned being whittled down but we shall see.
For clarity. lol

I think there has to be some realism about our academy players really. We are not going to get fees for players who never get a game for us. No PL team is going to take a guy who cant get a game for a 10th place team, and championship teams have no money. People compare us to Liverpool/Chelsea but the comparison doesnt work. They buy v highly rated 16-20 year olds who then prove themselves on loan. The lads we have in the reserves they would bin most of at 18.

There is nothing wrong though with taking profit for Davies, Holgate etc at 22/23 for say 10m if that offer comes. There is a world where players who play 50-100 games for us can be moved on. That's a good USP we have over say Chelsea. We can give better exposure.
