Don't know about anyone else but I've not cared less about a season ever, I legitimately couldn't be arsed about us anymore, didn't even realise that it's all starting again in less than a week until just now. Since Carlo left and Rafael has come in it's killed all optimism I have around the club, then going into the summer we've been totally broke and can't even sign a RB for £15m which is nothing. The club is in a total shambles and at this point I wouldn't be shocked at how much worse things can get at the club.
Bernard being the only deadweight being shifted this close to the start of the season is depressing, the fact that we'll actually more than likely have to sell one of our few good players to finance our ability to get to an average level is a disgrace. Getting rid of Kean, one of our few potential stars, or James, our literal only creative player outside of our bloody left back, is nothing short of a farce.
Add Dumfries and McNeil to this squad and we may actually be able to be average but looking around at the likes of Leicester winning trophies and Aston Villa spending their Grealish money really well despite the fact that they were both in the Championship in the last few years. Just can't see what the point is anymore with this club honestly, it's just constant crap from it, even when we got Ancelotti the whole world shut down and we were still painfully average with him managing us. I was someone that wanted to give Benitez a chance and some of these players the ability to prove they belong at this level after Carlo's notorious lack of training but my god still having the likes of Iwobi and Davies probably either starting or one of the first subs absolutely would drain the life out of anyone.
They're all just a gang of useless clowns top to bottom in the club and there's honestly next to no reason to be anything close to positive towards anything at the club but even after all that I'll still be buzzing come Saturday around 3pm and fuming from about 3:04pm when Southampton go 1-0 up. That's the Blues.
