Everton Summer transfers 2021

Well the list of fullbacks who can play both sides at a very high level is very short.

I get it, after yesterday people want to sell 90% of people and replace them.

Niels will have another year under his belt and IF we can get Europa then I'm sure he would get more games to prove himself.

I would like to see the boy get more of a chance but we will need another left back if the manager isn't going to use him. I think he's looked good so far to be honest.

I've wanted to sell half our players all season, it's nothing new. Until we accept these players are unreliable and have a massive overhaul then we won't push on. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that the team is far too slow and can't compete physically.

Its the same players who won our first game at Anfield for 20 years.

We have some very good players, we just need to add more quality in certain areas and hopefully after a proper rest in the summer, LOL, Euros, we can get a fresher less injured group.

But I realise doom and gloom will win this week.

Is Ings not injured, again? We need players that can stay fit and Ward Prowse is a midget, no players under 6 foot this summer please.

Ward Prowse would be my number one target boys got it all and what we are lacking in midfield for me.

We've needed someone who can actually drive with the ball since Barkley left.

Of course but we need Europe to make all that easier and more achievable. It won't stop us improving if we don't get it but it will make it harder and probably a longer process.

All the teams we are aiming to reach will strengthen this year so we need to do the same. 60m won't cut it this year for Ancelotti. We backed lesser managers (especially Koeman) far more.

Right back
Midfielder
Forward
Keeper

Get the right players in those 4 areas and we can move forward.

Youre asking why a formation that suits the players we have hasnt been effective in 20 years?

Its been effective overall when weve used it with players sub par for the roles + other premier league sides have used it in bursts.

Imagine when Moyes stumbled across formations and it clicked...lucky he didnt think "ahh no ones done this successfully in 20 years so it wont work now"...Guardiola doesnt seem to mind trend setting and neither did Wilder to get Sheff Utd into the premier league and up the table -- short burst.

Tbh i really dont know what Wide forwards you think would push us up into top 4 level for under circa £40mil each thesedays...

RB Lamptey, Emerson and Aarons would all be around £30mil. Im hard pressed to think of anything other than a massive gamble for under that level.

CM: We need a 'star' player in there...that wont cost buttons...again we cant afford to gamble.

We may strike lucky on another godfrey signing but id rather we stuck to 3, rather than punt on 4 or 5 signings on the cheap.

Anyway, im open to suggestions, @Stephenlloyd had some ideas for a 3 at the back where we also wouldnt need many signings.

But id definitely prefer now to sign 3 players instead of spreading the cash around...for me, aside from a right back we should focus centrally.

How does a diamond suit our players? Even if it did, it's never a long term answer. No team has had success in recent history without wide players and for good reason, they're an invaluable asset to any team and are often the position of each team's star players. We need to be building towards something similar.

Neither of us get paid £20k+ a week to identify and sign players that will improve the team, I would imagine Brands will have a better idea than just the three RB's you mentioned - one of which (Emerson) would 100% be a gamble. Semedo has come from Barca and played more often than Emerson has and he's flattered to deceive at Wolves.

Sadly Koeman came at the start so had a fresh canvas.

But I did the maths.

Big Sam 47m
Moyes 13m
Carlo 56m
Keoman 51m
Silva 100m
Clownshoez 56m

After this summer I suspect Carlo will be our most backed manager.

I know people love to forget, but Corona has cost the club 60m+ so far, with more to come, the whole league has lost 2 billion since it started.

We just really hope we can rinse a few clubs for some of our jokers.
