You can just imagine DCL, Davies, Godfrey and Holgate all having lunch together round a table and JJK comes over and pulls up a chair, tries to get it in a tiny space between two of them to sit down. Then they ask him to grab a water, then some food, then another drink, go grab a different pair of trainers for them etc.

And then goes to Wigan Pier at the weekend and shows several very bored ladies that he plays for Everton, honest, here's my name on the club website

….in my opinion, Holgate is nowhere near the quality & ability of Stones. Stones struggled for long periods at City under Guardiola, Holgate’s weakness is down to Holgate not the coaches.
I agree he isn't at the level of stones but it's not like many of our young players have pushed on in recent years when you look at the manager list. Can't stick it all on the player.

I genuinely think holgate would be a class signing for Brighton, at one point he looked like our best defender. Sure he makes mistakes but without ever getting a proper consistent run of games he’s always going to be a bit rusty. Starting every week I think he’ll do very well.

Yes, I think he should be sold to Brighton for a chunk of the White money as well.

I think he’d be a class signing for Brighton too. £25m and a years supply of airwaves extra fresh

Don’t know the kid at all but he does seem to have regressed a bit.

in the same way that Keane looks remotely capable when we’re sitting deep and repelling crosses I don’t think the style suits Holgate but then again…..

he’s been no worse than most and is definitely dispensable for a decent fee.
