So depressing being a bloo these days.
Lose on Saturday and it's going to get quite unsavoury.
Messi is on 25 mil a year with a 25 mil signing on fee.
But if we want to catch up with the Leicesters of the world we have to target our signings for areas needed especially if moneys tight. Ritchies far better on the left and prefers to play there. Davies can play rb, dcl rwb and delph lb shall we play them all there too.
We literally signed one of those last year...GodfreyI dont control who Everton target mate im just saying if the club seem interested in McNeil then thats the likely scenario that will happen rather than McNeil playing on the right.
I personally think McNeil is a Leicester type signing - young, english, hard working, good potential everything we haven't signed in recent years.
We have one of the best headers of the ball in DCL yet only have Digne who can put in a decent cross. We need more players able to whip a good ball in and McNeil fits the bill. Dyche will also have the lad used to tracking back / being disciplined in shape/formation.
As reliable as you're going to get from the Athletic today, btw...
Working on a shoestring budget, Benitez has turned in part to what he knows best: Townsend, a favourite from his time at Newcastle; Demarai Gray a long-time target. Sean Longstaff, another who played under the Spaniard at St James’ Park, remains on the wish list. The pair have kept in touch, with initial talks held over a move. Benitez favourite Salomon Rondon, currently at Dalian Professional in China, has also been on Everton’s radar, but a move earlier in the window was thwarted by complications over how the deal would be structured.
yeah, but at what point does the number of misses make you not a striker?
I get the feeling he's only a Striker because he can't tackle or pass and he's too small to go in goals, so they had to stick him somewhere.
How many times have you watched Kean?By watching both. Kean can stretch a defense , DcL cannot. Kean needs through balls (see his Florida cup goal) , but we constantly lump the ball up to him like he DCL
Everybody said the same about Allardyce,we then got the king of the hypocrites, now El Gordo. The common denominator is Moshiri, while he is playing Champ Manager we are moribund.Doomed to repeat the same mistakes as previous managers. Why oh why isn't Brands identifying and signing the clubs targets? Allowing the FSW to turn us into his turgid barcodes.
Cannot wait til that fat git has left this club. What a stain
But dcl scored over 20 with iwobis insightful passing. But isn't as good as kean who can't score from the same passing.....He has a near 1 in 2 record at Juve and PSG. Scored for his country and scored in the CL, but yes he must be a failed gk cos he doesn't score 50 goals from Iwobi insightful passing
It's bad mate, I'm going to watch the Championship this season then come back when FSW is gone (not too long hopefully)
A dark state of affairs this Mr B
They also note that we are in for Dumfries and McNeil (As is common knowledge) but we can't make the finances work as we aren't willing to break the rules.
Good old Everton ey.
This is the thing, it's clearly the safest thing to do, I get that. But there is also the argument that actually, we should push it, because the PL have made a rod for their own back with the Super League stuff. But we're too nice for that.
We obviously shouldn't be stockpiling the squad, and we need to trim it, I'm not against that. I am against not having a chuffing right-back in and our main targets been dross or a decent player that has never played in a position that we actually need filling.
