I think it’s the old Bill technique of rocking up and saying “Here’s £5 up front and we’ll pay the other £49,999,995 when we win the league”.How can we possibly be in for them if we can't afford.

FFS.
Could have at least put a ‘spoiler alert’ on..
Watch Dom’s goal against West Ham for how to finish a through ballEvery striker 'misses', it was the run and movement that is the thing you should focus on
That sort of wide-ranging, attention to detail is why they pay Bulbous Benny the big bucks.Detailed audit of the Everton squad and a database of players - only to land on Rondon, Longstaff, Townsend.

We literally signed one of those last year...Godfrey
It’s not the craziest suggestion. We know Inter need to sell so let’s say we were in for one of theirs and Inter have told him they’re going to accept any bids over x amount and we’ve bid that. There's a train of thought that possibly we're in for higher end players who top clubs have to sell and those players are waiting till last minute to see what choices they have?
Clutching I know
Please sign Longstaff and Rondon; it would complete the transformation to Evergeordies
well we're trying to loan Dumfries and McNeil is a target if we get the funds. How can we possibly be in for them if we can't afford.
Tosun started well at Everton, but deteriorated as the team got worse. Walcott was a good pro, a little bit past his best when we got him, but did well enough apart from his finishing. He was our best out ball after DCL, and when he wasn't playing DCL found himself drifting to the wing to recieve from Pickford or whoever. If you followed that logic you would never sign a player because of the risk.
Only a few clubs can afford to buy proven quality players all the time....we are not one of them,
We do have a number of players that have kept their value like Keane,Minard,, Doucoure.
We also have a number whose value have increased substantially such as Pickford, Godfrey,Digne,DCL,Richarlison.
We also have some young players such as Nkounkou and Branthwaite who may prove to be very good players.
We have also sold some at a profit such as Lookman ,Gueye,Vlasic.
In particular the recruitment of Koeman was child in a sweet shop levels and I think that Allyrdyce bought two players , spent a lot of money and both were poor value... which to me is a surprise because I would have thought he would have been shrewd in the transfer market and would have left at least one positive legacy.
