Michael Keane
My point was just because Celtic are in for him it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t - which is what a lot of people are implying.Do you want him to be the next first choice right back? Which is what we need.
If we buy him and sell Kenny we will be replacing a player not good enough for back up by somebody most likely not much better. He won't solve the problem we have.
To answer your question, yes I would certainly have bought VVD when he was at Celtic. He'd shown himself to be a standout player in Scotland and that was reflected in the price Southampton paid for him. Comparing these 2 players is a bad shout tbh.
You mean getting a red card 12 minutes in? He could do that now.well he has 5 years on holgate
maybe in 5 years time he can put in performances like this
Looks rapid which is good. Feels like a similar punt and age that we made with Seamus all those yrs ago
I don’t think anyone is jealous of Leicester buying him (surely). I do think some are jealous that Southampton was able to actually sell him.Are people seriously jealous about Jannik pissing Vestergaard? You all surely must be meth heads I’m convinced.
We are in for this guy because our first choice wants to go to inter.I’m all for taking some punts. We need to. However, I think this guy is being bought to be our first choice right back because we can’t come up with like 8mil more to buy a guy more highly rated and well thought of that could probably do a better job on day 1. That’s frustrating.
The fact we have made other moves before securing the key position of right back confirms in my mind that our recruitment team are extremely incompetent and have no strategy.
Who’s not there
They probably couldn't find a suitable right back with the 1.7m available I'd say
