Any financial restraints do not work, I believed they were brought in to stop so called bigger clubs from monopolising the league but how does that work when you look at the spending of top teams now.

Think it was always under that guise but if that was the case they'd have just set a limit on total spend.

By allowing teams to spend a % of revenue, it stops new teams coming in with sudden investment - so preventing Chelsea/Man City V2.

Kean goes and I reckon we will get some movement… I can see McNeil being a possibility although not what we
need.

Aarons would require a huge fee I imagine so can’t see that happening. We will end up with a sidibe type on loan again I reckon.

Maybe someone like Hudson-Odoi on loan for the season as well…

If we can sell Kean and a centre back then i think we will be going for Nunes, McNeil and a right back.

I know some posters dont fancy McNeil as hes left sided...but we may have other plans for him or Richarlison.

Also, if Richarlison leaves next summer we have his replacement ready for the left.

If we can sell Kean and a centre back then i think we will be going for Nunes, McNeil and a right back.

McNeil and Richarlison are chalk and cheese. We would have big problems if McNeil is his replacement.

1: Selling fee is shown on the books immediately. Purchase fee is over the length of the players contract.

2: We have players to sell...im confident we will make sales.

3: Italian sides do what we offered with Dumfries. 1 or 2 year loan with an obligation to buy.

4: Dumfries isnt actually very good and supposedly preferred Inter.

I'd love to know who you think we could sell to raise far, far more than £275m from our current squad.

Let's say DCL and Richy go for £75m each. So that is £150m.

What then?

Keep in mind a buying club would have to pay higher wages than we currently pay in order for a transfer to happen.

Same principle as the Super League. The “top” clubs wanting to protect their status and revenues whilst paying lip service to being guardians of the game.

£70mil over 5 year contracts is £14mil this summer.

We could sell Holgate and sign both.

Next summer we lose alot of players out of contract which covers the additional amount + we look better on FFP anyway.

McNeil and Richarlison are chalk and cheese. We would have big problems if McNeil is his replacement.

Definitely different players but McNeil could become a good player for us. I like him.

Came when he was young, put in 3/4 years of great service and sold for a decent profit

Great signing tbh, million miles away from any of our recent signings

He was alright.

Underlines how our standards have fallen when we see his contribution as special.

Dumfries also has a touch of the Sidibe's defensively and position wise. I wouldn't fancy him in a back 4.
