Everton Summer transfers 2021

Hypothetically its not "pointless".

Leicester, Atletico and plenty of other teams have sold their top players to push themselves further up the table.

As much as we like the players, what if their replacement is better?

Weve got 5 centre backs in; Mina, Godfrey, Keane, Holgate and Branthwaite.

What if we sold 2 of them and signed a young star player for the combined fee?

What if we sold Richarlison (who i really like) and brought in 2 or 3 top young players for the same fee?
Hypothetically thats what we should be doing. In reality the money would be given to Moshiris pick of manager each year to waste on rubbish.

PSG can't be playing by the same rules as everyone else, That front three alones wages must be circa £1m a week, they're not a particularly big club either so revenue streams can't be as high and they don't have the kind of TV deals we do but they can spend wtf they like it seems, stinks.

I’m all for taking some punts. We need to. However, I think this guy is being bought to be our first choice right back because we can’t come up with like 8mil more to buy a guy more highly rated and well thought of that could probably do a better job on day 1. That’s frustrating.

I think Dumfries clearly wanted to go to Inter. Given how Raoila's last client got on here he will hardly be recommending us if he can get a pay day elsewhere.

Celtic usually do alright picking up unknowns and selling then at big profit. Perhaps we may have finally jumped in first and missed out the middle club and 25m spend.

He was a forward in the Euro u19s championship in 2016 for Portugal and featured in their best tournament squad. Clearly changed to right back at Antwerp so attacking wise could be what we need. Athletic. Confident. Can cross it by the look of it too.

Got a great guy to to learn off as well.

Fingers crossed it is a done deal and he turns out to be a superstar.

You can double that weekly wage for the 3 of them. They will need to raise funds next summer, big time. Ramos and Donarumma won't have been cheap either.

Italian press reporting he refused to come here. If true then not much to be done about it. Although it’s the Italian press so take with a pinch of salt.

FFP only applies to clubs playing in European competition

Which isn't us

It's the Premier League sustainability rules that are hindering us
I think the term FFP is a blanket one used to cover both the UEFA rules and the PL profit and sustainability ones. But yes it does sound like the latter are the problem.
