Everton Summer transfers 2021

Not a great way to evaluate things this.

Gray was decent when he moved out wide. He was decent in the first half when he drifted wide from his weird second striker type position. He is a wide player. He'll do alright when playing wide.

Keane made an error and that's obviously bad but he was our best defender aside from that once again and really shouldn't be sold with no one coming in as a replacement. The summer started with no real need to touch the CBs and it remains that way. This isn't FM or FIFA and having some degree of continuity matters. Hopefully we can find a combo this year but having all the options is good.

Fwiw Saints did not have a single chance aside from the Keane mistake. That's probably more likely to carry over than Keane giving the ball away for 1v1s with Pickford.

Gray was ineffective in all bar having pace and putting in 2 ok crosses. Your bar is VERY low.

Keane made 3 errors and one was capitalised on. Two in the second half where he (again) stood still, ambled back allowing the centre forward to close him down -- before urgently rushing to get to the ball first.

He is an utter liability. Hes not in control of his legs once hes 15 metres from goal.

Youre referencing a computer game to state "continuity matters"?

If something isnt working then you stop doing it. Michael Keane does not work.

Should have been sold and yet got a new deal.

You dont rate two of our best players in Richarlison and Doucoure, yet rate Iwobi. He is the same as Keane, he doesnt work. When players fail you need to sell them, urgently before their values drop -- as we will see with Iwobi and Keane.

You cant see the major issue of having 4 centre backs all more comfortable on the right side of defence? Weve seen yesterday what happens when you play Keane on the left...the other 3 also lose something when playing there.

Additionally, we dont lose anything with Branthwaite replacing Keane as a 4th choice. Hes also played mostly as left centre back for us and on loan.

Incidentally, Keanes 2 errors 2nd half were when he was playing on the right. Dreadful.

Its actually laughable that weve not sold a centre back this summer when we need the funds to upgrade

Leicester signed Vestergaard for £15mil last week. Keane wouldnt have been on their radar.

"No real need to touch our centre backs"

Dearie me.

I don’t think he got forward enough for my liking.

He did a few times and made some 'Lamptey' type runs, with obviously less pace. Turned inside 3 or 4 times and played simple balls.

Looks like another off the Chelsea conveyor belt. Like Lamptey and James they have a knack for producing right backs it seems.

….I have no idea what Twitch is, I presume it’s his Twitter account. Regardless, still seems more likely players will leave before others arrive, although I still see some links to the young RB.

Tbh, I don't really know what twitch is but he seems to be on it all the time

Morning all and after a great opening win for the blues yesterday we return to similar fare with some sketchy and rehashed transfer rumours…..

Inter see Lazio, Argentina and alleged Everton target Joaquin Correa, 27, as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, and talks have reportedly started. (Calciomercato - in Italian)

Everton have reportedly made contact over the possibility of signing Lorenzo Insigne this summer. According to Italian news outlet Il Mattino, via Sport Witness, the Blues have contacted Insigne’s agent over a possible deal to bring the player to Goodison Park.

The report goes on to say that while Everton and Napoli have held talks over Insigne, no offers has been made and there is the belief that the Serie A club’s asking price would be too steep for the Blues.

Everton have submitted a ‘loan proposal’ for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to Brazilian outlet TNT Sports.

Speaking on the ‘Last Word on Spurs’ show (via The Toffee Blues), Italian football journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Goodison Park faithful are interested in signing the Tottenham Hotspur midfield player before the summer window shuts.

As per Sky in Italy (via Sky Sports), Inter Milan could make a move for the striker before the summer window closes.
It was expected that Kean would join PSG on a permanent deal following his loan spell there, but the arrival of Lionel Messi has made that more unlikely.

His agent Mino Raiola discussed his client while talking to Inter about a potential move for Denzel Dumfries, and a move to the San Siro could well be on the cards for the Italy international.
