Hes been class. Would be an assist machine for us.

I've seen someone who has been at Madrid for years and years play football, he's not good.

I don't even think Iwobi is good, just that he might be less bad used a different way. Vazquez is being used a different way because he was a bad winger (in Madrid terms) and now he's an average fullback. We don't need either.

Seeing as youre a stats guy you'd thumb your nose at 4 goals and 8 assists if averaged out over a 38 game league season?

He'd probably get more assists with us due to the way we play with DCL and Richarlison.

Hes a good player. Not world class but a good player and theres a reason why hes been around that squad for so long.

On a free if we also sign Aarons then it makes perfect sense.

I think if you take the bump he's getting from playing for Real Madrid out you're probably at like 3 and 5 or maybe smidge more so no I don't want that when the guy is also going to be 30 at the start of next season.

There is also a reason they're letting him walk.

Theyve offered him a new contract over 3 years.

Him and Ramos both on frees. Ideal for us.

2 players on free agents who would both massively improve our squad -- ideal.

If we can bring in both Vasquez and Aarons then thats the RB/RWB position covered.

If we can bring in Ramos then we can offload Keane or Mina to cover the Aarons fee.

Good business.

Vazquez is only an improvement because our RBs stink and not because he's the level we want to be.

Ramos is only an improvement if he's healthy and still near his peak which at his age is far from a guarantee. Ramos has had a lot of injuries lately including missing 20 games to them this season.

And Aarons is badly average so we shouldn't be paying 30m+ for him.

I don't like any of it.

i think weve gone for the very best manager available to rebuild our squad with Brands over the next few years. James and Allan brought in for experienced heads on cheap fees.

My guess (and hope) is that we go for the u23 age group this summer...with Ancelotti moulding them.



I like Vasquez. Supposedly he wanted to stay in Spain the other day so the reports all seem a bit random.

He can play anywhere down the right and would be ideal on a 2 year deal with the option of a third...on a free.

Him and his team could cost 80/100 mill in salaries. Moshiri will want something back on that. And I don’t think you get that buying under 23’s unless They’re some of the best in the world.

The 2 issues there are, 1 they will cost fortunes and 2, unlikely to join us, when they have bigger fish after them.

I can see this season ancelotti wanting at least 2 who are ready to walk into this team. Maybe not 30yr olds this summer like James & Allan. Unless on a free maybe.

But I can see then around the 25 to 28 age bracket

It'll take some time but I know you like Emerson who I'd definitely prefer.

Edit: It didn't even take that long actually. The Celik guy from Lille and Maehle would both be better options. Shame Atalanta got on Maehle first.
