Supposedly theyre willing to drop the asking price substantially.

Its been in a few places over the past days about the fee dropping and today on football insider it commented on us as @Simon Buttle mentioned -- giving them free publicity :p

Probably nonsense and i dont think hes going to be a target with him turning 30 this summer...unless a massive reduction.

I personally feel our first 11 is good enough. Adding a right back and some more depth is we need. Saw a stat on Twitter that our first 11 has started something like 6 games this season.

I doubt we will spend 30 m on a RB and not play him there

Saint Maximin isnt the level we should be aspiring to and certainly our first 11 with Gomes / no right back isnt going to do much.



Even in a 4 (diamond) we'd still need a RB + CB + 2×CM to step up a level.

In a 3 i think we need the same.




If we bring in one wide player then we need another for the left + backup/rotation options unless you want to see Iwobi playing consistently and/or Gordon starting numerous games at this stage.

Starts to look expensive and would probably take a window or two just focusing on attacking wide signings to get it right.

However if we go with a 3 and switch to a diamond sometimes then we just need the 4 players i mentioned above to have quality and depth everywhere.

It's total nonsense. Even half the price is too much, especially given our strength at centre back.

That money would do so much more good elsewhere.

Well of course he will accept, he’s not getting a better offer elsewhere.
I’m still not sure he will be offered a new deal.

Getting a small fee and his wages gone this summer would be the perfect scenario for us IMO.

But most likely he will see out his contract And will probably get plenty of offers around the world.

Yes that’s fine now and
Maybe next season, if he plays that system, which I’m not sure he will.

but we’re talking 18months down the line.

He been forced to play because, he doesn’t fancy Bernard full stop. Or iwobi in the 10 role and James has missed half the season. And we’ve had loads of injuries in midfield
