Given Liverpool are almost guaranteed to finish in the top four and likely to challenge strongly for the league title I think finishing above them would be a very big time target tbh.

Well, you would have said that last year and look at what happened, it was only the outright capitulation of the other teams, us included that allowed them a European place.

If I’d said it last year I’d have been right wouldn’t I. If we’d finished above them last year we’d have been either 2nd or won the league. Proper small time that.

it's happened before and it's incredibly small time when some fans consider it a success. But of course it's all opinion based.

Richy has a good season we would get more for him next summer also we are able to plan, selling late wouldn't end well we don't replace our best players well especially late on...

There’s a player in there though. Not dissimilar physique to Lukaku and it would be Benetiz to get him on song ... which he seems able to do with others if the evidence of the season to date is true

That’s what I’m saying! Us finishing 16th and then 17th isn’t success, but us finishing above this Liverpool team would almost certainly mean we’d had a good season. Yeh it’s possible that the team that’s been one of the best in Europe recently have a collapse and finish 10th but really there’s no way they arent finishing in the European places even if they have a disaster and if we do better than that it’s a good season. Nothing is certain, of course its possible it's happened to all the best teams over the years, its inevitable actually just a matter of time. No I don't agree and for me to explain why would be repeating myself for the third time sorry. I just think we have different opinions and.... ye thats it really.
