If we do sell Richarlison then brought in Mousa Diaby (Leverkusen) and Antony (Ajax) for £35mil each that looks to be good business and gives us starters on both flanks.

If we then bring in Patterson and Jebbison for £10mil each we will have spent £90mil on 4 young high potential players with high upside.

However, if we sign Maximin and Zaha Im not sure if i could stomach watching them.
we're not playing fifa career mode here fella! lol lol lol

Selling the greatest talent the club has ever seen in Wayne Rooney did eventually work out for us. I agree that replacing young for old would not be good, but if we brought in more than one player, some young some old, it could feasibly improve us.
Selling proving top quality players for multiple most likely lesser players rarely works out. Look at Spurs when they sold bale. Only Eriksen was a truly great signing

Lots of good American talent these days though, bright future ahead. Only US player I've seen rumors for us that I think is ready for the prem is mckennie. I don't think Hoppe is ready yet
The trouble is, when is Hoppe is ready someone else will hoover him up for 15m and it's still considered a good deal.

We should be spending (as Brands has continued to preach) on top quality youth with huge potential. The flaw with that plan is the desperately obvious lack of top quality coaching at our academy. If you can 'do a Chelsea' and stockpile young talent you have a bigger, better quality pool of players to rotate into the first team squad and a decent source of future returns.

Totally understand the sentiment, the difference is Chelsea can afford to pay these fees then loan the young players out across Europe. With our current financial situation if we spend 15m on a signing they'll need to contribute. I don't think Hoppe would get enough minutes to develop here and we won't spend the transfer fee just to loan him out

Very true.

The appointment of Koeman and Walsh was a real sliding doors moment.

The obsession with number 10s squandered a tonne of money. Then allowing Allardyce north of 45m in fees, probably close to 20m in wages.

Sacking comp for Martinez.
Sacking comp for Koeman.
Sacking comp for Allardyce.
Poaching comp to Watford.
Sacking comp to Silva.

It's no wonder at all we're shaking the coin jar this summer. We're a spectacular example of how cutting corners doesn't work.

TLDR: I we hadn't squandered all that cash for zero tangible progress we could easily have brought in 20/30 5m gambles.

Very true. Those 2 seasons set us on course for the train crash we're currently witnessing.

Maybe a summer and winter window low spends and loans are what we need to excise some demons at the club.

Everyone is fully aware of the mistakes that have been made without going over old ground, but I hope this has give people at the club an opportunity to refocus and actually implement some form of cohesive plan going forward...

This being said I won't be holding my breath.

So potentially if "Rumours" are true:

Ronaldo goes from Juventus, they could be back in for Kean.

Mbappe goes from PSG, they could be in for Richarlison.

Gomes has been linked to Benfica.

What a strange window this is gonna be!

And did the square root of FA with their names in the States. Barely did any summer tours here, didn't do a friendly with DC United when we gave them Rooney, did NOTHING with Tim Howard after that World Cup and what's that? Landon Donovan, the most popular mens player in the US said how much he loved Evertom? Oh right, nothing there

Most inept club at marketing themselves.
In truth the US is not the biggest market for ‘soccer’
