yes would not be surprised if we are stuck with either Kean/James/Kenny so as a result wont bring in a striker/attacking mid/right back. Still clinging onto some hope as all 3 have to leave i feel.
Richarlison might change the complete picture.
He has to stay no alternative here. Absolute madness to sell him now.

A big late sale would bring us back to the Kenwright era for sure.

That's an assumption as well - We have absolutely no idea if Moshiri has decided to close his wallet for a bit

I mean, if you'd just spent £500m and then looked at our squad list - would you really think that spending some more was a wise 'investment'?
...and a stadium to self fund given the lack of external investors being attracted.

This is the Great Reset, not a one summer tightening of the purse strings.

It's quite clear that in the last few windows, Brands has bought and then assumed we could shift players.

Bernard, Kean, Tosun, Walcott, Bolasie, Besic, Kenny, Sandro etc were all expected to be sold for fees. Not Brands fault that we are a graveyard for players.

Our completely awful player sales has been masked by big sales like Stones, Lukaku, Barkley and Gueye which had nothing to do with Brands

Possibly he expected to able to sell Kean, Bernard, Kenny - Tosun, Walcott, Bolasie, Besic, Sandro I'm not so sure - he's had to be creative in getting any value for them (loans).

Morning all,
With time running out to get players in and out, ere’s a summary of the rumours doing the rounds on 26th August.

The future of Sheffiled United striker Daniel Jebbison remains up in the air.

Everton are interested in signing the 18-year-old on a permanent basis, but it seems as though the Championship side are only willing to consider a loan move.

The Athletic have revealed that League One sides Sunderand and Burton Albion both made attempts of a loan deal, but neither have materialised as Sheffield continue to chase a substantial loan fee

Everton have confirmed Nathangelo Markelo has left the club and joined PSV Eindhoven.

The versatile Dutchman, who can play at centre-back, wing-back or in midfield, joined the Blues in the summer of 2017 from FC Volendam in his homeland and played for the Toffees Under-23 team. (Echo)

Juventus could target Borussia Dortmund star Axel Witsel to replace Weston McKennie if the midfielder leaves, amid interest from Tottenham and Everton, per Calciomercato.

Everton and Aston Villa have shown an interest in signing McKennie if he leaves Juventus in the next week. Additionally, Tuttosport report Tottenham Managing Director Fabio Paratici proposed a swap-deal involving Moussa Sissoko, after Juve rejected Tanguy Ndombele.

Sunderland have offered a contract to former Everton goalkeeper Jack McIntyre following his impressive trial at the Stadium of Light, as reported by the Sunderland Echo.

Barcelona will keep Samuel Umtiti for the 2021/22 season after failing to convince the defender to leave the club, amid rumoured interest from Everton, according to Sport.

Should Kylian Mbappe leave to join Real Madrid, Richarlison has been mentioned as a possible target for PSG (BBC)

Are you having a laugh! If he’s signed players assuming he can sell people and then not been able to sell them ie do HIS job then that’s his fault isn’t it. I can’t believe the excuses I see for people being incompetent it’s amazing.

If we sold Richarlison for £100mil then that would put Moshiri at about £155mil net spend over 6 summer windows...

On the one hand it shows what a single sale could do for the team in terms of reinvesting the money.

On the other, it shows how far off we are in spending compared to the City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Arsenal levels of spending that weve seen. Thats bearing in mind how far we were behind them all, prior to Moshiri taking over.

Any substantial sale, whether its Richarlison or someone else, the money must be used far more wisely than the pitiful attempts made thus far.

It doesnt seem like Brands has been in full control of signings and so our short term fate may rest on Benitez' ability to choose players.

That is frightening.

We have no room for spending due to the awful state of the accounts in relation to the profit and sustainability rules.
And with Moshiri personally funding the initial stages of BMD, this is tantamount to an admission that stadium funding is still an issue to be satisfactorily resolved… so even if we could, he’s unlikely to sanction anything other than low budget spending UNLESS there’s some significant departures and easing of the wage bill.

Don’t trust that to happen so meanwhile just keep our Richy. What is the point of getting the money but then weakened the squad…
