Whatever gentleman's agreement concerning letting him play in the Olympics will probably be tested so.

Problem is contractual agreements don't get honoured in football let alone any other sort.

Just have to hope he stays for the season. It's a disaster trying to replace him in circumstances where we would get rinsed, and panic buy on the wrong players AGAIN.

I did read PSG want to offload 10 players so if this was to happen, I'm pretty sure they would seek to offset the fee by offering us a couple of those players.

I'd take Icardi alright! He is bound to be cheesed off.

This may be the case because it is so late in the window. If it happened a week ago it would probably have gone through.

I mean, Mbappe to Madrid isn't even agreed yet. Then there's no guarantee Richy is even their first choice. Still stronger rumours for both Ronaldo and Pogba. And if they do come for Richy, what's the odds they get close to our asking price at the first bid.

I reckon he'd still be here on Tuesday. Probably with a massive strop on, but it's all happening too late.

So imagine that we loose Kean, Richy and James in the next few days - and get £100 mil (factoring in the £25 mil. the obligation to buy Kean). And looking at the players we have been linked with we might end up with:

- Saint-Maximine
- McNeil
- Maupay
- Patterson
- Jebbison

Would that not improve our squad or at least fill the gaps left by the three and give us more width?

Literally watched Villa spend all summer, whilst denying any move for Grealish was in the offing.

They subsequently got some rather good deals. Meanwhile here we are, spend £1.5m and if we get £100m for Richarlison, plus the fact we’ve got 3 days to do business, means we’re going to end up grossly overspending like we did with Iwobi.
