Yeah absolutely. At Wolves in that system he was very, very good. Was able to get into the area and onto the end of things or grab an assist/create a chance.
But, as a right-back, he's really not all that because it's like he's starting 10/15 yards further back and unless you've got pace that makes all the difference (as we've seen with Seamus down the years).

Vlasic will be a good signing for them.
Still annoys me that we let him go with no option. It was a baffling decision from Silva and Brands.
I'm not saying he's world class, but we've been crying out for a ball carrying midfielder such as him for the last 2-3 seasons.
Dumfries has played right-back more than wing-back tbf though.

But yeah, Vlasic likes to drop in and get on the ball and work it forward. If you're playing 4-2-3-1 in the Premier League, that's pretty much what you need in the 10 slot.
