Haven't people learned over the last 5 odd years that spending more money doesn't automatically generate success?

I'm personally excited to have made some signings who are playing for us because they want to, not just for a payday.

Massive losses we are posting. Take last year we clocked a 139 mill loss, then added Doucoure, Allan, Jamo and Godfrey to the wage bill to be added up this winter. I hung Learner out to dry on here 10 years ago for the same stuff, cant be sustainable. Is this window indictive of the wheels coming of our shiny gold car, will it be a soft or hard landing. We've definitely pulled the handbrake hard.

I tnhink Covid19 toppled the club over a cliff it had sidled up to but thought it would never go over. That was idiocy made madness by a natural unforseen event. If Covid19 hadn't happened we'd still be in buying mode.

The massive losses are ultimately down to 5 changes of manager - that leads to a lot of waste in terms of players not being fancied by each successive appointment and handing them cash to correct the previous "wrong" spending. If we stick with one manager and back him for a few years then that will address itself.

On semedo, he tied up and assaulted a man in his home, then went to the guys house to burgle it. charged with attempted murder. Got a gun out in a bar in Valencia and threatened to shoot someone.

Pleaded guilty to kidnap, robbery, wounding and illegal firearm possession... Got a long sentence but paid a load of money and left the country. Banned from coming back to Spain for eight years.

They need to do better than this in explaining why a new manager (down a first team player n arrival) is left to get on with spending £1.8M - an outlay bettered by clubs a few divisions below the PL.
