Everton Summer transfers 2021

The Moise Kean transfer saga is set to reach its culmination this summer. PSG want him more than anybody and the Italian striker is happy in Paris. The Ligue 1 giants will have to negotiate with Everton at the end of the season as the loan deal has no option to buy clause.

Several reports have been flying around indicating how PSG are approaching this deal. Initially, there were rumours of another loan deal with an option to buy. Later Fabrizio Romano said the Toffees will ask for £60 million for Kean. The striker’s stock has surely skyrocketed after his exploits in Paris this season and if things are handled well, Everton may pocket a handsome profit on the player who arrived at Goodison Park for €27.5 million plus €2.5 million in add-ons.

The Parisiens are not only interested party. Andrea Pirlo and Juventus remain determined to bring Kean back to Turin but chances are really slim as Kean is enjoying life in Paris. Mauricio Pochettino trusts him and includes him in the project, maybe even ahead of Mauro Icardi. In fact, when Juventus asked about Kean to his agent, Mino Raiola, the Kean entourage has conveyed that his wish is to continue with PSG beyond this season.

Everton will not be able to keep hold of the striker and will have to look in the market for a replacement or sign Joshua King permanently. Sadly, the electric form of Kean is not something that Everton fans resonate with a lot. Surely, the enthusiasts follow him at PSG but the 21-year-old didn’t produce anything close to what he is producing at Parc des Princes.

TRENDING: Everton March loan report
When he arrived from Turin, the amount of talent and potential he had at such an infant stage in his professional career surely left supporters flabbergasted. One year later, fans are shocked but for the wrong reasons. He simply couldn’t settle in Merseyside and be an attacking outlet for the team whenever he was presented with a chance.

Now watching him light up the Ligue 1 often poses the question of what went wrong at Goodison Park. PSG are in line to reap the benefits and potentially have a top-quality player who can perform for years if Kean continues his development at such a staggering rate. But, before that, the Ligue 1 giants need to ensure that the striker does end up in Paris for next season.
£60m would do. Drop £40m on that Thierry Small lad from Bayern and the rest can go on a CF, RB, CM and RW

He really doesn't. That's basically the minimum he should get.

How many out and out strikers have been sold for over 60 mill in history?

Higuain 75 mill
Lukaku 75 mill
Suarez 65 mill
That Osimhen guy at Napoli might also be included but his fee seems to vary wildly
Haaland will be

All the other players, the Mbappes, Neymars, Griezemanns Bales Ronaldos who have gone for big money are players who are, or were, wide forwards when they were sold or false 9s/10s where the market is far higher for those magical players who can unlock defences.

For a player like Kean who is just a slotter though and not particularly great outside the box, 60 mill in a pandemic economy would be an absolutely unbelievable deal

I meant 50m as the minimum

For a player who stank The Premier League out?

Anything North of our money back and he needs a gold plated statue.
See that's not how it works though. Playing well, or even just playing tbh, for a top level club, and that is what people see PSG as French League or not, makes you more valuable. That's why the RS and United sell their dump for 20m+. Perception is a lot of the battle.

I mean you all can feel like we should be desperate to get rid if you want, but anything under 50m would be bad work. Osimhen who was mentioned earlier I think was closer to 60m and had a much more questionable resume. We need to do good business here as there is not a lot of other places for us to do it instead at the minute.
Hes only worth what somebody is willing to pay.

I mean you all can feel like we will have a bidding war if you want, but the fact is that not everybody will have 50m+ to throw around and if PSG is the only deal in town, we have to take what we can.

Get whatever we can
He is highly prized and PSG are one of the few clubs with cash to burn

We could always keep him.

And do what?

Let him make videos with Iwobi or something?

Keeping is probably the worst thing we could do, I would probably loan him again before I kept him.
Why are we so averse to having good players?

And before you say anything he was never as bad as people made out last year. Strikers tend to struggle when the team creates next to nothing and they only play more than 30 minutes once every other month. We'd get more than enough out of him if we found ways to get him on the field and actually play decent.

We?????????

We ain't averse to good players.

And you can dress it up how you like, but he flopped here, that's the truth, most people, no, not you, but most people would have happily sold him for 20m last Summer, snatched the Frenchs hands-off, I mean thankfully we didn't and we would be kicking ourselves by now, but you really think hes going to come back, stick his head down and be happy with his scraps again?

Rightly or wrongly, his Everton career died the day Duncan dragged him off.

Hes not a bad player, hell I like some of what I saw, but 2 goals in 31 games is NOT down to Everton Football Club.

It is though. It really is.

Not 100%. But also not 0%.
