Am I missing something? How does the buying club "set" a price for someone they want to buy?

When you make an offer on a house you have your own set budget...

...i imagine it means they have £80mil+ to use and wont go too much higher.

They need a new centre forward. I suppose it depends on. Kane, who will be very costly and at 28 With dodgy ankles. That’s a gamble.

Haaland. I’m not sure he goes to Utd. Mbappe again im not sure he will leave or go Utd.

So there’s not many more options unless they go down the Cavani route or take a punt on a young striker from abroad.

It will be interesting to see what ancelotti/brands wouid do if a big offer came in. As it would smash ffp( if it’s still suck a thing) wide open. Him and kean could basically fund a new front 3
To add to Richarlison and James. And we’d still have plenty to buy a top class box to box midfielder.

I know some people will say you can’t sell your best players. And in the past it hasn’t worked out well for us. But so many on here rave about Leicester, well they’ve brought in 250m from sales Since becoming champions.

If for a second I thought DCL had the talent to get to Kane’s level or shearer.
Then I would be dead against, but he will never get anywhere near them two.

Depends how much we would get for DCL and Kean i suppose. If it was £85mil for DCL and £45mil for Kean then thats £130mil.

Its alot of money but we lose an England international who could well push us to top 4 if we created more chances.

If we had £60mil on top then thats £190mil to spend before looking at other sales.

It would be an enormous summer and Ancelotti could really mould the squad.

For me though, i wouldnt sell and would focus on selling other players in the squad to bring in the £100mil.

Very high risk to sell him.

Very difficult to replace,he's been feeding off scraps for most of the season. His work rate has never dropped and his ariel ability defensively would be a big miss. Still plenty of time for him to become a player worthy of a top four side. Just hope it's with us.

Just a small selection of duff signings every club makes.

That's like one summer for us

For me, DCL is a really good player, but I don’t think he will ever be prolific. If we were offered £80m I would take it. They would be mad to pay it, but hey, they paid that much for slab head so what do I know.

I suppose he is a young English forward who is a full international.

He already has been?

His best season certainly, but a pretty long barren spell. He has had chances, but not converted. By not prolific, I suppose I mean we have seen lack of composers in one on ones etc. The goals dry up when the service is poor and he is never one to make something out of nothing.

I’m in no hurry to move him on, but £80m would probably be the biggest transfer this summer.

I would only sell if the offer was mad.

How many strikers is this not true for?

My list is at most 4 names of players at this moment.
