Oh I didn’t mean to downplay how important the incoming were, but an overrated, bloated squad has been one of the main reasons of our shortcoming recently and that has not gone away. We simply have to keep pushing on outgoings
I don't think it is a bloated squad at all. It is threadbare... but it is a poor squad.

I don't think Ancelotti is a manager that will take his time with a youth player and help them develop, could be wrong but seems more a cheque book manager.

...any manager would want top young talent available to them. If a youngster can effectively impact football matches, Ancelotti will want to use them. Ancelotti used Kean and Gordon. The fact neither are here at the moment is more down to them.

Well I hope im wrong, but I do fear about us being able to get to the next level having the strikers we currently have. So I do hope there is a striker on the shopping list. I actually thought Kean was that player but that didn’t come off, so I hope brands and Carlos have a good one up there sleeves.
I don’t think we will spend big on a forward unless DCL or Richarlison are sold.

I actually think we need to work on goals from midfield. DCL has a good return this year, but the midfield gave a really poor return.

If the midfield was scoring, I’m sure there would be more chances for DCL and Richarlison.

Or his lack of patience, I'm not sure he has much of a record of bringing young players through?

That is probably a little bit harsh on Carlo.
There is no doubt that he will want to sign players and develop the team quickly but we do see lots of young academy players training with the first team and he did give Onyango and Small a run in the first team.

Very few young players are ever good enough to play first team football.
If they are good enough he will give them the chance...imo.

....i have no idea of Ancelotti’s record, but youngsters have to earn game time. From what I recall Gordon got more game time than Kean because he was doing a job for Ancelotti. Kean was just ineffective. I’m sure Ancelotti really wanted Kean to be a success but sometimes it’s just down to the player.

Think Ferguson messed up Kean, we also don’t play to his strengths

He gave them a couple of minutes in the fa cup, that is not a run in the first team lol

...there are too many excuses made for Kean, it was always somebody else‘s fault. It wouldn’t be too bad if there were signs he could be effective but there were virtually no ’that’ll do me moments’. I remember Gordon spinning on the halfway line and putting a sublime pass to create a goal but there were no instances like that from Kean.

He’d get the ball in a good situation on the edge of the box & I’d be willing for him to do something. He dallied, got his shot blocked and the situation was gone. That’s nothing to do with playing to his strength, he’s a striker in a position any striker would like.

he is actually going to Barca I read so with him and Aarons not coming, JJK on a new 5 year deal it is then lol

He's half owned by Barca and half by Betis.

He went to betis on a 2 year loan. Barca can buy them out for €6mil.

Should be available €18-25mil.
