He gave them a couple of minutes in the fa cup, that is not a run in the first team lol

....I’ve watched a bit of Small & Onyango in U23 & Youth Cup and both seem some way off the first team. Worth mentioning Onyango had a season ending injury (I think in the Youth Cup v City) so has been unavailable to Ancelotti.

Yeh I know, I think Onyango might have made his premier league debut at some point when Doucoure was out if he didn't get injured himself

Hes very good at everything. One of the best right backsin La Liga, if not the best imo.
The contract between Betis and Barcelona means they need to sell him for over 30M€ this summer to be able to book a profit. From January that goes down to about 12-13M€... he is more than likely to stay. They won't be able to get rid of Sergi Roberto either so I reckon Dest will leave, late in the window.

How have you come to €30mil ?

No more soft South Americans for me - want some tuff players.

Emerson is more Godfrey/Mina than Keane.

And again when we sign them we are hoping they are successful. Unfortunately a lot haven't been so we are stuck until their contacts expire ergo shorter contracts being a safer bet. Not sure how it's even an argument.
Shorter contracts for good players means that their resale values are less and they are able to walk away for free much earlier. If we'd done this with Richarlison he'd be leaving for free now whilst Kean would be off to PSG for a pittance.

If you're confident enough to spend 35m on a player you should expect them to be good. If you offer a 3 year contract you're effectively paying ~12m a year Vs 7m a year for a 5 year deal.

Your logic only works when you know you're signing junk.
