And thats exactly the issue. Mendes would want to prioritise wolves and then only maybe us or perhaps more likely one of the top clubs. They might use us as window shopping for the big boys.

I do think there is a debate to be had concerning the potential involvement of Mendes in Everton.
His business model seems to include some sort of exclusivity agreement to prioritise the placement of his players at clubs where his company also supplies the coaching staff/ management.
Such arrangements mean his company will assume the responsibility for scouting / recruiting.
Our in-house team with its primary role removed would inevitably atrophy and vital skills lost should we wish to resume our independence in the future.
I find it concerning to say the least .
