Everton Summer transfers 2021

Ages are different for different positions. Central midfielders are much older when the peak they tend to take longer to learn the position, wingers and attackers much younger.

22 for a centre mid is no age at all.

23 in August. Squad player. Needs a season starting somewhere to see if he can develop.

By which time hes 24. At that point you know if hes worth €20mil (a big fee from what ive seen) or not...

Wolves got Neto for €11mil while this guy is €20mil.

Im not saying he'll flop...just that he needs a season starting somewhere.

Everton Fans are brilliant. Moan when we look at 'proven' PL players and say they want some young up and coming South American.

Everton look to sign said up and coming South American before they breakout and cost upwards of 50 million. Everton fans shock horror are moaning as theyve never heard of him and needs another season somewhere to prove himself.....

Anyone else smell the irony of this thread

How would you feel if Sporting Lisbon fans said the same thing?

You would feel a bit silly wouldnt you?

Youre like a Southampton fan wanting Tom Davies.

They paid £16 million for him, Nunes looks to be costing a tad less than that.

Always find the hidden gem/proven player paradox funny. Exactly as you say people will say we need to be finding these unknown up and comers before they become stars and are out of our reach. Get linked with said up and comer and everyone screams too much risk, give them another year somewhere else to prove themselves, not good enough, farmer's league. Fans want some young world beater who has somehow managed to stay off every other teams radar so we can pick them up for a little bit of nothing.

In reality every signing is a gamble. The better gamble in my mind is young and unproven because they cost less and there is more potential to make your money back plus some. We have a couple of "proven players" that we will never recoup our investment on.

More than 11 mil and Neto had also hardly played a senior match before Wolves got him. Apples and Pears

Its just Zat really.

Everybody else seems down with signing the lad.

Zat wouldnt spot a player if he fell over 1.

I really don't get your point to be honest but oh well. Do you not see the irony of people moaning we waste wages and fees on dross like Iwobi etc and wanting a prospect who is yet to be unearthed and then Everton find one but its too much of a risk...….dammed if you do, damned if you don't.

Instead of writing him off before he's signed, i will reserve judgement until seeing him in an Everton shirt. Hopefully he will excel in that position and we will have a quality player on our hands.

Says Fabian Delph and Andre Gomes' biggest fan.

Its more about him needing another season to see if hes even good enough for Sporting...

...then youre mocking people for saying that despite him being unable to dislodge Joao Mario who flopped at West Ham and others.

Newcastle offered a loan with option to buy at £10mil. Thats what hes worth imo.

If we sign him for more then its a gamble on a 23 year old squad player for sporting.

Not high expectations.

I dont rate Gomes or Delph and Joao Mario didnt flop at West Ham, they just didnt want to pay 40m for him cos Dildo twins.

Heres West Ham fans being made up that he might return.

He made the 2nd most total appearances for Sporting last season also.

Looks like Sporting have a good midfield, so no shame that he didnt start every week.

And besides its quite clear you havent even watched him play, no, neither have I, but im not the 1 saying hes worth 10m.
