Allan tried to do it repeatedly last season but had nothing around him, a couple of attack minded runners would be great. Dumfries looks a player who would compliment this style.

I don't get this one, Digne with nkounkou and Thierry Small as understudies, be a huge wage to be sat on the bench.

For me, these guys are worth taking a punt on now. Waiting another 12 months while he cements himself as a starting midfielder at Sporting, gets called up to Portugal and suddenly we are fighting Utd, Madrid and Barca for his signature and we have no chance.
If course, he might not realise it but at 20m euros even if we sell him we will recoup something. All the decent players at Wolves were punts. About time we had a few that worked at well.
Weren't we trying to sign him when he went to Milan? I'd guess this would be to replace Richi.

Just checked this forum, we were heavily linked in 2019 when he originally signed for Milan. I'm pretty sure I remember reading we had all but done the deal then the club put the word out to try and bump up the fee. Thread is closed otherwise I'd have bumped it back up.

When I read the list of Mendes clients he was one who stood out to me. I know we were potentially going there before but opted for Kean. If Kean or Richarlison go, I could see this as a viable link. He's another player who looks to carry the ball well, which seems to be a common thread amongst all of the players we are linked with and I'm glad we are targeting this. No idea on price, but would love him on loan.

Nunes played over 40% of minutes in the league for Sporting last season which isn't exactly a low number considering the talent Sporting have in midfield. Overall he played the equivalent of 19 games throughout all comps. Not bad for a team who would tonk us
