The funniest thing about people wanting this perfect owner to take us over is that we don't even have that now.

The chances of getting a new owner that had previously attended many EFC games as a paying EFC fan are totally minuscule in the current era. People wishing for that are going to be disappointed.

The best we can hope for are people with money and business expertise in marketing, commercialisation, stadium development and people looking to build, and not to impose their own football ideology on the club in terms of a director of football.

I knew someone would come up with that one ! Look at our squad...look at the Norwich, Villa and WBA squads. Tell me we haven't got a far better squad than any of those, and many more in the Prem. Tell me that spending £6 million on Victor Anichebe is a better investment than £28 million on Romelu Lukaku. You can't, can you?

Norwich and West Brom are currently in their promised land (the Premier League), and wouldn't be anywhere near the Premier League without their investment. Villa's problem is that they spunked their investment up the wall, not the fact that they had investment in the first place.

If Everton don't spunk investment up the wall, then we will be able to add to investments like Lukaku, in a hope of us reaching our promised land (the Champions League, trophies). We just need to do more Lukaku investments and less Kone investments.

some weeks you can't tell the difference. You can't, can you?

Yes but with a billionaire owner you can keep Stones and your Lukarkus with out finally you must sell to survive!

The concern is, with a club that doesn't have the international status of Utd, that we'll be bought by speculators who'll just fire sale the entire squad. Say we were bought by a bunch of neo capitalist shysters for 200 million. At a glance Ross, Stones, McCarthy, Coleman, Lukaku you've got 150 - 200 million back. You still own a premier league football club.

Don't think it can't happen. I'm worried. Not many good owners or sugar daddy's about.

Attending Goodison Park once doesn't make you a fan.

This. Could easily be done our squad is worth more than 200 mill I reckon. They would still bring in tv money on top and god knows how much in parachute payments for four years - leaving us in league 1/2 and a fortune in their accounts!

It's an outrage that a club of our stature hasn't been bought yet. All the evidence points to it being not for sale. New owners who came in and wiped the debt, got a new stadium on the build and gave us about £40m-£50m to spend each year regardless of sales would be incredible. We don't get nice things though.
