and the obvious issues related to the stadium and LCC's controlling hand in that respect might be a cause for concern for an American business.
Had a sit and a think, came back to the thread and saw the above, which I hope no-one thinks I have taken out of context.
Probably looking at this too simplistically, but if a new ground is a key determining factor in both feasibility and price of a takeover, surely at least an informal, off the record meeting with LCC to sound out their position would be the first stop before potentially expensive and possibly protracted due diligence.

Just doesn't sound right...... "I'm not buying the club but there's two other interested parties"...."I'm sure it will get sorted soon", this unusual volunteering of information has the unmistakable smell of Kenwright's nether regions about it.
At the AGM they'll just need to repeat that they're seeking a buyer and are not at liberty to discuss any current interest for obvious reasons.....Everyone's happy until this time next year.

On past form the most likely result.

What's his motivation for supposedly forming part of Kenwrights cunning plan to dupe the fanbase, by having direct quotes attributed to him.......?

2 + 2 = 5 time or just blind Evertonian optimism maybe.....

Something about the John Stones to Chelsea saga appeared at the time to be strange to me.
It had all the hallmarks of a contrived way for us to transfer him in such a way that the board would be able to state that they did everything they could to keep him ie we turned down successive bids but were left helpless when Chelsea met our valuation and the player handed in a transfer request.
The media from day one kept quoting the fee we would accept and lo and behold in the final week Chelsea offered this sum. After the window closed Chelsea were reported to be furious with us as they believed they had done all we had asked.
On top of that we committed to pay £9mill for a C.H. who would essentially be a reserve, an unprecedented fee for us to pay for a substitute.
So what happened towards the end of August to affect this apparent U turn by the board ?????
Did a genuine bidder come forward.?? It's all conjecture off course

I don't think the Stones saga was related. It seemed to me that the club just got fed up of Chelsea taking the piss (lowballing us, leaving it to the last minute and trying to unsettle Stones) and so refused to sell on principle.

No chance. Mourinho does not need to take part in (or would never be privy to) our boards affairs.

As for Funes Mori - we had just sold Distin and need to have 3 good CB's

There is NO conspiracy here I am afraid.

Whatever happens I'm not holding my breath on us spending 100 million + in the next two windows. We are Everton so expect Lerner MKll

I think think something will happen soon, evidence is there.

1. Bills not well which I never wish on anyone so hope he gets better.

2. We seem to be tidying up the books.

3. We kept players like stones, mirralas, Coleman

4. A group believed to have interest has said there are more serious groups in the frame. Bill definetly wouldn't ask a friend to say there are others in the frame and something will be sorted in the next months, he would just say we tried to sell but it wasn't the right deal.

5. We're are in talks with LCC about stadium options and I believe bill and the board won't be able to fund such a project like previous years. But if the money is available from whatever source be it a grant, the club or a new owner it will happen.

I am in view that the club must be talks with both LCC and potential owners about stadium funding and buying of the club and something very exciting will be announced in the near future.

I've always been optimistic
