Everton Transfer Thread 2016

What would be your suggestionspRicky? Who would improve the squad?
I don't think there's any point in me naming names, I'll just look as silly as others have when they don't come off.

However, people who are in currently in Champions League finals are not interested in coming to Everton. It doesn't matter that we have more money than in previous windows, they are not interested in playing for a team who finished in the bottom half of the table.

It's fair to say we can afford to lose the likes of Hibbert, Gibson, Oviedo, Koné, Niasse, Osman, and Pienaar without having any serious effect on the squad.

Obviously Howard has already gone, and however unpopular this will be generally I would be happy to accept good offers for Mirallas, McCarthy, Cleverley, Besic and Funes Mori. Although I'm well aware it would be ridiculous move to try and shift them all on at the same time.

Then you've got Lukaku who's a superb player but he obviously wants to leave, and I think he will, which would double our transfer budget. I'd try everything to keep Stones but if he wants away then we will cope.

That's a hell of a lot of movement but I think there's plenty of the youth team lads who are ready to step up - Browning, Galloway, Pennington and Davies have all shown they are ready, with Connolly and Dowell showing promise.

I don't think we will spend as much as the fans are expecting, but at the level we are currently at we're looking at good Premier League players rather than elite ones. The priorities for me are a goalkeeper, a centre back, a playmaker, and a couple of strikers if Lukaku goes like I expect.

I think it's safe to say PL clubs will never get the European bargains due to the massive TV money we receive, which is why most clubs hope a PL team will compete for their players and inflate the price.

Ready to play a role in the squad? Possibly.

Ready to start for a team wanting to finish in the top half of the Premier League? Not at all, not yet anyway.

Most of them would benefit from going out on loan to the Championship.

I honestly don't think any of those four need to be loaned. I think you're right with their status as up and coming squad players but they'd all offer better options than let's just say the quadruplet of Hibbert, Osman, Gibson and Pienaar.

Connolly, Kenny and Dowell, yeah I'd agree they'd benefit from some loan football.

We still need around 5-6 first teamers like.

But it's just my opinion of course.

I completely forgot about McGeady as well, I'd tell him pre-season is in John O' Groats then lash him off a cliff*

*This is a joke, I don't fancy being banned again

Karius has a buyout clause of £4.7 million, absurd.

How cheap is the German market,Were the papers over here saying Butland was in the 20-25 million bracket.

I think Timo Horn has a buyout around £8 million.

This summer the prices for players especially homegrown/English is going to be astounding when the tv deal money kicks in soon.

I never understood that. We don't have a limit on foreign players so not sure why the prices are that high. I would throw money at Horn right away to fix our GK issue!

Although, in England, the transfer window formally opens on 1 July, transfers between clubs in the same association can take place as soon as the last competitive fixtures for the season have been played. However, many transfers will not be completed until 1 July because many players' contracts expire on 30 June. International transfers cannot be made until the window has opened on 1 July.
