I'd be shocked if Hart came to us, but I'd be all for it if it was a goer.

I agree but it's a lot of money. Ultimately it's not my money he's spending so what do I care. I just hope it doesn't mean we have to compromise in other positions.Exactly you have to make a statement, this is a massive statement saying take us seriously.
Like you I agree it is a big amount of money, but in my eyes it is one of the main positions we need to strengthen. No top teams have average goalkeepers, only great ones. Hart is a great keeper.I agree but it's a lot of money. Ultimately it's not my money he's spending so what do I care. I just hope it doesn't mean we have to compromise in other positions.
Most of the squad are being "moved on". If the rumours are right we could have a completely different Everton team next season. We wont spend 200m.
We wont sign many elite players, not yet, signing elite players means paying elite wages, when you pay elite wages you have to bump the wages of the entire squad.
Interestingly Arsenal only have 3-4 players above 100k a week, which I found quite strange.
Always thought Arsenal paid the big wages.
Whose to say our potential new manager hasn't already identified hart as a key signing. Being lazy you would think that points to pelligrini having worked with him at city. However like you I can't see Everton expressing interest in a player, unless an incoming manager has approved it.We're not going to sign anyone without a manager cool your jets lads.
I'd be more ore less happy with comparable players. Get Jo on.i reckon we will probably spend similar to what city spent when they first got taken over
they wont be elite world class players but they should hopefully be decent
for ease of reference this is what city did
robinho - 32.5 mil
jo - 18 mil
de jong - 13.5 mil
bellamy - 11.63 mil
bridge - 9.75 mil
wright phillips - 8.44 mil
given - 6.75 mil
zabaleta - 6.53 mil
kompany - 6.38 mil
ben haim - 4.8 mil
total spend - 118 mil or thereabouts
+ 8 years worth of inflation in prices and the sales of stones and lukaku + others
spend - 200 mil
income from sales - 100 mil
total net spend - £100 mil
makes sense

However a net 100m won't pay for that. The same way as we would never pay 40m for Hart out of a 100m budget.

Judging by reports today (sky sports) Alves and masherano, could be on their way to juventus. Think Barcelona could will be interested in stones if that's true.Rumours of wholesale changes are probably true, but we are unlikely to lose anybody we would miss and those we will miss, we will be given vast sums to replace.
Martinez made some astute signings, but he also signed some utter stinkers, some of which will continue to litter the squad next season unless we can ship them out.
Im pretty sure the new manager will be given the cash to move us forward, im pretty sure there isnt a set amount set in stone, just like im pretty sure we are unlikely to spend 40m on a GK.
I will be very surprised if we break our transfer record this season, but I fully expect us to spend upwards of 100m, thats if we lose Lukaku and Stones, as I say, if those 2 go for the sums rumoured it will be some summer.
Closest he'll get to barca is if he asks mori to ask messi for some autographsJudging by reports today (sky sports) Alves and masherano, could be on their way to juventus. Think Barcelona could will be interested in stones if that's true.
