The rumoured £100m needs to be invested wisely across 5-6 players, replacing old legs and bringing pace and energy to the team, as well as injecting more ability of course in key positions. I'm not sure I would appreciate £50m of it being blown on a big name player because we fancied making a statement of intent and then leaving ourselves lacking the money to get the right quality we need elsewhere. Given the rampant price inflation in the transfer market, the £100m could go very quickly!

Not in the realms of sanity ofc, but if you had the chance of a James from madrid for 50m mate, then you should take it, bale and suarez have shown just how much impact one world class player can have on an otherwise nothing special team

He's a regular starter for Juve. He's a class player, good all-round forward, and can definitely hit the back of the net. But Rom is the better striker, at the moment. He'd score bucket loads in Italy.

Didn't his Dad say he wouldn't go to Italy as he wouldn't do well there as the defending is tighter. Makes me laugh actually as basically he is saying his son is crap against a good defence.

Yeh, but his Dad obviously knows f all about Italian football because in the last few seasons the defending is pretty shocking!

I think Koeman originally wanted Vilhena then went for Clasie for some reason so I can see him definitely going back in for him if he thinks it's a player our squad needs. He's really short though for a CM in the prem IMO.

Literally none of the players linked so far were really used qualifying that's why they're now playing after the utter failure of missing the Euros
