Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Honestly mate he isn't a systery and won't be any sort of valid option, I'm all for giving players a chance - but in this regard every chance we give him from now on will just see another chunk knocked off whatever we can con someone into paying for him, need to ship him off anywhere we can get him too asap
Perhaps so. But give him a pre season and a chance to play under a competent manager first before he is written off.

This was the same manager whos team literally couldn't play 90 minutes football without being knackered.

Definitely need to start with a keeper, we should really have been underway with this 2 seasons ago, identifying and approaching.

However don't believe for a second we where. Need to go out and get the best quality we can for the keeper position. Leno, Horn and a load of other keepers are out there, need to go and get it done.

Bit gutted that Klaus signed for the RS

Looked into kluss mate and wasn't he in a pretty bad team - in which case maybe looks better than he is, seen a lot of keepers in relegation battling teams look really good when they are getting bombarded all game, soon as they are in a better team they look mediocre

Yeah maybe mate, he was making some pretty good saves though and was voted as the second best keeper i think i read.

Thing is playing in a crap team you are going to face more shots, no matter how good a keeper you are if you face more shots you have more chance of conceding. The great saves he was making he might only need to do once or twice a game in a better team and they then win points.

In all honesty mate, IF we do have the sort of investment into the team incoming that has been largely mooted we have, then if we are left playing Naisse then something has gone badly wrong, even on his best day in Russia he looked not good enough for a top half team in this division. Still think the entire transfer was fishy as hell

I've read a few things that he's really highly rated by the German national team management but he's unfortunate that they have like 4 keepers in front that are better.

He is a good keeper - i have no doubt about that, i remember watching one of his saves and thinking he would win points by himself if he had a half decent defence infront of him.

Its ridiculous the talent the Germans have in the GK department - its just not fair really, even more so on some of them having Neur infront of them.

Was it Marshall who looked really good a few years back in a similar situation mate for Cardiff?

Also Mingolet looked a cracking keeper at S'land, at the rs though when he's not facing as many shots (which seems to be his strength basic shot stop[ping), then other thigns like concentration etc come into it and he's been exposed big time

I still think he suffered from those things at sunderland though. He always was a good shot stopper but he never had much else about him, concentration was an issue for him there too.

I do take your point, its an unknown, but i would be happy to be vaulted if Klarius turns out a flop - i doubt he will

Interesting to see what spurs do business wise this window with them obviously needing to strengthen the squad a lot due to CL this coming season, Janssen if the reported fee is right that he can go for would be a missed opportunity though, need Koeman to use his dutch connections and status their to not miss out on the best bargains from that league really

He's busy sipping corona's at the minute to worry about any of that sort of stuff.
If anyone thinks we can step in on this deal is daft, look how long it takes us to announce a manager, by the time we would even contact jansen he will be playing pre season freindlys for spurs

start at the top of the list...
