Everton Transfer Thread 2016

So risky buying from the Dutch league so many prolific scorers there have flopped massively when they've left.

Janssen does look a talent, but Luuk De Jong was only one goal behind him last season with 26 goals and he looked absolutely dog turn in his brief spell with Newcastle where he couldn't hit a barn door.

He's since scored for fun again for PSV since he returned to Holland.

Another reason to be careful, Dirk Kuyt, yes him, at 36 wasn't too far behind on 19!

Yeh true, along with the other 10 players.

For what it's worth - at no point during the season did I think he was performing any worse than other players at the time - is maybe the better way of putting it.

He definitely made mistakes, and we got punished for them, but it happens.
Stones was not fit to play in the Derby. He had the galloping big trots and spent half time in the thunder box.
I agree with your assessment, he is unfairly picked out because of the Chelsea interest. He is a class player who suffered under Martinez.

Martinez also didn't help. He encouraged Stones to embrace taking risks and make mistakes. He never coached him when to take risks though and when defend. No doubting Stone's quality and if he stays Koeman will take him to the next level. I hope he does stay, i think it's a very exciting time to be involved with Everton and he is can be a massive part of this new era.

I only asked a question . Everyone has weird dreams mate . Even ones about Naismith
Never about him though. One about

Not about him though, once about picking up a ball at a sporting goods store and being immediately murdered by Besic for it... But that's normal stuff

It's called John Stones syndrome pal!
Yes he made mistakes, some of the "mistakes" he made were not even his fault (Howard v Swansea at home)
Chris Smalling scored 2 own goals and got sent off in the last month of the season and nothing got said
Gary Cahill got dropped for being crap all season, only injuries to Terry & Zouma got him back in the side
Not much gets said about them too because the media hadnt gone into overdrive about them in the summer
