If Niasse has anything about him he may have a better chance under Koeman than he did under RM.
Our style of play going forward will be more direct and high tempo. When playing under RM we were passing the ball to death and Niasse looked as if he didn't have a clue what he was doing, but then, unfortunately the whole team was heading in that direction anyway.

He is a big powerful player and looks very athletic. I think the coaching staff may start to look at what he can do , rather than what he can't do and see if he has anything to offer going forward.

I hope he starts with a clean slate the same as everybody else and then if he isn't good enough we try to move him to a level he can play and we take the hit.
This has happened with Kroldrup and Bilyaletdinov and it happens to every club.

I would love to know if Koeman was aware of the player before his transfer to Everton and what they thought of him while at Southampton.

Can't believe we're still talking about Niasse like anyone here is qualified to say if he's good enough or not from the miserly minutes we've seen so far. I think he's the least of our worries this summer.

All absolutely true - and enhanced by Mourinho not rating him in the slightest. Went from player of the year before Mourinho's second spell to being sold.

Brilliant player when fit and motivated. A new era for El Everton.

For me Mata has never recovered from being sold by Chelsea, he has done OK for Man Utd, but he hasnt hit the heights he did during that 12/13 season when he scored 19 goals and got 35 assists. Maybe that was just a freak season

When do the ITK's think this will hot up then? Surely Koeman will have a strong idea what this team needs, he will know where we are strong and weak and also know what type of players we have he doesn't like.

Its only fair to give Niasse chance- poor guy has only come on in the last few minutes of games where he is- quite naturally- busting a gut to make an impression which in turn makes him look less than stella- let him play a few half or full games first- at least on the left where we (currently) tend to play cleverly/moody mirallis who are poor /hit and miss there.

What wages is Mata on? I'd expect it to be fairly hefty? He's a bit of a luxury player when a bit of strength is needed.

we're desperate for some extra quality pal. We have been for a while in that playmaker role, even more so given Pienaar's injuries and now departure. Mata would be a great signing. Wages wouldn't be an issue
