Think he will be found out in a big way mate - just my my opinion.
His 'high pressing game' will be severely tested in the premier league, due to the higher intensity the game is played at. Klopp has experienced similar problems. It is the most demanding league physically in the world, asking players to press for 90 mins week in week out, will burn players out and reduce their effectiveness in the latter part of the season. Saying all that you can't but admire the football played by guardiola's teams. Also his early signings for city, make them stronger for the new season.

Agree 100%.

But my point is at this time as a 22-year-old from Barnsley, who would you rather play under (forgetting money for a moment).

Ronald Koeman - a fantastic player and proven manager but at a club that has finished 11th for the past two seasons.

or

Pep Guardiola - a great player and proven winner renowned for his style of play etc, at a club that will be in the top four and have sights on the CL and title.

I would have sold him in a heart beat, only for that 30 min spell in the semi final were he moved into the Kaiser, deep midfeild spot, he was absolutely amazing.

He was immense for all 90 minutes of that semi final.

The only player who showed what he's capable of on the big stage for us.

Didn't deserve to be on the losing side that day.

the only trophy he hasn't won there in his time at the club is the CL.

That was the one they wanted though.

I'm not saying he isn't a good manager, but anyone claiming he's the best in the world, despite only managing the best team of all time, which he inherited in Barca, and then Quad winners Bayern!

I expect city's fortunes to turn round, but I do feel they only went bad, when guardiola was announced!

I tink he suffers from the Wenger complex though, his philosphey is his philosphey and hes not for bending or adapting given the context. I love watching Arsenal, but their fans arent satsfied with flattering to deceive. I agree on all your points at City. I also think hes never been in such a competitive league before there isnt just one or two big boys, im not sure he has the mental toughness for it either.

For my money he should have won a CL at Bayern Munich, Gordon the Gofer could do well at Barca with Messi and Xavi and Inesta in their pomp, i know he devised the system and fair play, but that the easy bit really, having the players of that quality is 90% of the battle.

Can we please remind ourselves how poor Stones was at times last season, despite his obvious potential. (Only potential) So, £50 million , yes please.

Can we also remind ourselves how Rom decided to go missing for the last 6 months and the countless times he's tried to sell himself through the media. He's a mercenary. £65 million, yes please.

Players will come and go, but we will always remain. No player is bigger than our club, ever.
Spot on !! When we were one of the biggest clubs in the World & had just won the league we sold the greatest of them all little curly ALAN BALL managers have their opinions & players will always have other options it's the way of the world
The club will always be there !!

Stones as big as loss as it sounds, will be replaceable. If anyone is a judge of a top defender then surely koeman is. Didn't do so bad with VVD, when many questioned the lads ability to adapt to the premier league.
Replacing rom is so much more difficult. 20 goals a season strikers are gold dust. I'm torn on this one. Part of me wants rom to stay, but then I think of his lacklustre and half-hearted performances from March onwards and wondering if he would replicate that attitude this forthcoming season if he doesn't get 'that dream of playing in the champions league'.

But they weren't being managed by Guardiola... so that has nothing to do with him?

At the moment he is the most highly rated/touted manager in football.

If he was at Everton we'd all be saying the same thing.

If anyone missed what Mitsel's dad said here it is:

--"Everton and Napoli are fighting to sign Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel from Zenit St Petersburg, according to the player’s father.

Thierry Witsel has told Italian radio stationCRC: "It's true I met with (Napoli sporting director) Cristiano Giuntoli in Brussels. It was a positive discussion and there could be interest by both parties, so we'll see how things evolve.

"Everton's interest is concrete, like Napoli's, so the negotiation is ongoing, and to see if the marriage happens we have to see the conditions and understand what is the best destination for the player.

"Napoli is a great club. They had Maradona amongst their protagonists so they don't need to be praised.

"(Dries) Mertens spoke very highly of Napoli with Axel. He knows that going to Napoli would mean joining a big club and making a step forward in his career."
