Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Don't know if anyone will have been watching it, but I've just covered the Inter v Sassuolo game. Consigli (Sassuolo keeper) was unbelievable, one of the best goalkeeping performances I've seen since, ironically, Howard's in the WC 2014.

He's 28 years old and is part of a defence that has conceded just 17 times in 19 games. The standard of Serie A is really coming up again as well - a lot of teams play attacking football as opposed to the turd that was being played five years back.

A golakeeper like that, who would not cost the world and is quality, is what we need to be looking for IMO.

I'd like to point out that if a takeover is seriously happening (everyone seems to have forgotten about it!) then it is unlikely that we'll be spending significant sums on transfers. Yeah, we might spend a couple million here and there on youth (as we have already done) but throwing £21m on Yarmolenko... I can't see that being allowed until the club's future is decided.

yeah i don't know why bill would do it when he's about to sell either tbh.

I don't understand?

If RM says to his current bosses 'this is the player I want' and he has budgeted for such (I am presuming he has an idea of what money has been put aside for transfers, and that information has been relayed to the prospective owners) then why would anyone have a problem with it?

Surely the prospective owners want the highest position as early as possible. If Yarmolenko is (and i'm not saying he is) the difference between 8th and 4/5th then they will surely give the thumbs up - again - provided the money is there.

On a general note, I want Yarmolenko, you (GOT user) want Yarmolenko.
Do we honestly think we will get him? Probably not.
I do however want a % of likeliness from @ijjysmith and an update of the current Yarmolenko status from @Tubey
Guys?

No idea. But, it doesnt go away does it?

And this is also playing out pretty much exactly how our Kiev ITK said it would, once they got their CL group, and got out of it. Price, timings, everything.

I was a keen reader of you ITK updates, genuinely, but I thought (and I might have remembered this wrong) that the chairman wanted him to stay for the rest of the CL campaign? With them now through to the next round and the games being post-Jan 31st doesnt that mean it'll be summer?

If it gets to that I just see a bidding war and one that we won't be able to compete with.

Would LOVE to be wrong though as I think he's boss, even if I am unsure where he is going to play
